    The smile he offered but her at ease, even if it was just slightly. Chocolate eyes shifted toward to watch her feet - the last thing she needed was to fall. Bella could just imagine how well a scraped knee would pan out for the newest member of the Cullen family. The question surprised her a bit more though, and she chanced a quick glance at his eyes, lips pursing in thought. Was Alice putting him up to this, or Edward? 

       ‘ Things are fine. i’m happy to be home. ’ How funny that she only started thinking of Folk’s as home since she met Edward. ‘ I mean, I think Charlie’s still upset about the whole ordeal, and he’s worried, but Edward said he’s forgive me. ’ But that didn’t help with the guilt. She’d said the same thing her mother had said before leaving with her, she hurt her father. 

Jasper followed her gaze and gave an inaudible chuckle. "Do you want to sit down?" He asked Bella politely. The blonde wanted to make sure she was at ease and as comfortable she could be with the newest Cullen. He sighed softly, knowing that she was not too trusting of him or his motives for speaking to her. Jasper gave her another gentle smile.

"I'm glad that things are fine." He nodded. Charlie had every right to be upset because he didn't know what actually happened, but Jasper also knew that something like this could take a toll on her mental health. "I was just curious to see if you had anything you needed to talk about... You can trust me if you so choose." He sounded like he was trying really hard to keep her at ease without using his ability even if it would be easier to do so.
