so if say Simone woke up projectile vomiting on day two of Trials - not something that will be bothering her within a day or two, but definitely something that would keep her from competing that night and thus forcing her to withdraw and petition - you deadass think they should just leave her off the team huh? because that kind of situation is what this is insurance against, and even then they still have to prove themselves at training camp or get subbed for the alternate who would have had their spot otherwise

“I’m watching some training videos of Chuso and her blocking is scary. She practically blocks every single time in the front, downward part of the vaulting table, below the curve. Is that even safe?”

it’s not just safe it’s how you’re supposed to block a FHS on the table vault. I’ll come back and add more to this on why it’s not always taught in a while

My dude, there are not even 100,000 gymnasts in the entire JO WAG program, much less at L10. Yes, there are lots of other L10s and Whitney does get a disproportionate amount of attention due to the whole youtube thing, but also like… chill

I don’t get why some people act like flo is the public enemy no. 1 in this whole regionals streaming mess…like be mad at the NCAA they’re the bad guys here lol

They sold the streaming rights to (likely) the highest bidder without any concern what that would mean for NCAA gymnastics in terms of accessibility. They’re the ones making money off of college athletes by selling these streaming rights while people like Katelyn, Kyla and Maddie aren’t allowed to make a dime based on their tremendous athletic accomplishments which is beyond fucked up. Flo just did what they think benefits their stupid business model.

Tbh after Ohashi graduates I’m going back to being an SEC devotee. Like UCLA gets me in my feels but with no Peng, no Katelyn, and no Miss Val, I’m just not as attached. Like they’re still number 1 in my heart always but nothing gets me going like an SEC rivalry. Like I’m always going to love Auburn more than I could ever love any ncaa athletic program. I just really loved the 2018 UCLA team. They were so special.
