Moriko is a turtle OC that grew up in the wild in a montane forest in Arizona. She is completely wild/feral and doesn't even know how to speak. He only knows how to speak in turtle- and leopard- because Moriko grew up with a leopard (Yasei-ji)- they become siblings/a makeshift family. Moriko is a musk turtle, 16 years old, 5 ft 6 in // 167.64 cm in height, intersex, and they go by all pronouns.

Aster stops in his tracks as he sees the eggs. He slowly comes closer, sniffing over them and Moriko.
{Moriko growls quietly, not even having opened her eyes, as she curls a little more around the eggs in a protective way.}
Aster huffs and grumbles. But then he thinks. Time to be an asshole.
Aster sits down nicely next to Moriko before lying down. But he just lies down over Moriko, squishing her under him.
{Moriko shrieks, snapping at Aster with what little energy she has.}
Aster doesn't care. He lies halfway on her and relaxes.
{Moriko shrieks louder, clawing at Aster.}
Get.... Off....!
{Oh, Moriko used real words.}
He just looks at her before giving her a nip. Still, he painstakingly slowly lifts himself off of her and plops down next.
{Moriko hisses, snapping up one of her eggs and quickly eats it. She licks her beak before protecting the two remaining eggs even more.}
Aster just leans his shell on her shell and churrs. He lets the vibration hit her gently.
{Moriko huffs, grumpy tired bebe, as she slowly relaxes into the churr.}
He continues to churr, his tail swaying gently. Gently, Aster nuzzles onto Moriko.
{Moriko coos, flattening out onto Aster.}
Aster carefully wraps his hands around Moriko, still nuzzling.
{Moriko gently nuzzles back, giving off a happy, cat-like purr.}
Aster starts to knead on her gently, churring louder.
{Moriko trills and purrs, nuzzles into Aster more.}

"She's safe now, don't worry. I got several medicines that will help her overcome the disease."
Aster smiles slightly, patting Moriko. He looks tired.

Aster flinches from the surprise bite. He chirps confused before biting her neck for a moment.
"What was that?"

Aster clicks unamused. He growls before pushing Moriko down. Whatever she has, it's really against him, apparently.

Aster pauses. He didn't expect that. For a moment, Aster sniffs over her. His eyes getting slightly bigger. Then Aster starts to bite her, nudging and pushing her more in the middle of the nest.

Aster churrs as well, biting her more. He cuddles up to her. Somehow he manages to pin down her tail in the process.
{Moriko purrs loudly, nuzzles Aster.}

{Moriko rolls slightly, cooing loudly, seemingly pleased by the growing affection and attention.}
He tries to hold her still as best as he can. He chirps quietly, cuddling up more to Moriko. He shows that he will stay here with her.
Aster won't go anywhere right now. Only attention and affection for Moriko.
