If you have unprotected sex, and you have a kid as a result, whether intentionally or otherwise, it is your responsibility and yours alone to ensure the child leads a good, healthy, and as happy as possible life. It is your responsibility to be a decent parent. Whether you wanted the kid or not doesn't matter, having a kid is just the consequence of your course of action.

If you plan to have kids only to be in control of something, then you shouldn't reproduce. If you plan to have a kid, you should always, ALWAYS, prioritize their needs and safety. People who can't even be bothered to take care of their offspring are disgusting scum.

This book I quoted is the antinatalist bible, so to speak. It is THE book to read to understand antinatalism, which posits that creating new people is harmful behavior.

[In this book, David Benatar argues there is an asymmetry between good and bad things, such as pleasure and pain:

1. the presence of pain is bad;

2. the presence of pleasure is good;

however

3. the absence of pain is good, even if that good is not enjoyed by anyone;

4. the absence of pleasure is not bad unless there is somebody for whom this absence is a deprivation.

Regarding procreation, the argument follows that coming into existence generates both good and bad experiences, pain and pleasure, whereas not coming into existence entails neither pain nor pleasure. The absence of pain is good, the absence of pleasure is not bad. You sound like someone who would dig antinatalism!!! I’m not fully antinatalist myself but I believe one should only procreate under ideal circumstances. And the child is not indebted to their parents; the parents CHOSE to procreate, therefore they CHOSE to sign up for all responsibilities that entails.

Parents aren't selfless. What they call "sacrifice" is just taking responsibility for a decision they made.

You chose to have a kid, now deal with it. That's not noble, that's simple cause and effect. You're not some martyr for doing what the choice required.

You're not owed praise just because you reproduced. Millions of people out there are doing the same. You're far from special.
