Track 11 on Never Gone is a favorite among both the fans and the guys. Track 11 is the most depressing song in their extensive catalog. Track 11 is Siberia. Like most of Never Gone, I didn’t start appreciating this song until a year or two after it came out. I remember listening to the album after not having heard it in a while, getting to this song, and bursting into tears. Granted, my hormones might’ve been a little out of whack that day but the point is it still made me cry. So sad. So much pain in this song. Plus, the metaphor is genius.

I've been thinking about this song a lot and I think the muse/ex girlfriend is an absolute queen actually.
She doesn't play games. She's honest. She cares for him even if she doesn't desire him anymore.
A lot of immature girls would've staged a fight, or said mean things to make him think less of himself. She knows he's a good person, but not for her.
She offers distance, if he needs it. She offers him closure, if he needs it.
I think its one of those situations where neither partner did anything wrong, they just weren't a good match and she saw that first.
