I did a project with Dita Von Teese for publisher Hard Case Crime​ to shoot source material for a pulp book cover to be painted by Robert McGinnis​. McGinnis is known for his sultry pulp paperback covers and classic movie posters (Breakfast at Tiffanys, Barbarella, early James Bond films, etc) so it was indeed an honor to have him paint one of my photographs. For the project, Dita and I created images with the book’s knife theme. I consider this book cover a highpoint of my life because I’ve been a fan of his work for a long time. Now at age 90, he’s still got it!
