I’m gonna give y’all a tiny peek on what’s going on behind the scenes here @ FilthforFriends

These anons were sent by the same person from different burner accounts. Using my sense of justice to entrap me is an unexpected level of sophistication. Usually it’s just juvenile rage & hatred aimed at wounding me deeply.

This person has been fixated on me for 2 years. We’ve never even had a conversation. They’ve sent well over a hundred poisonous & often cruel anons from god knows how many burners. I can’t effectively block them. I can’t even keep up with differentiating & deleting their asks.

This person goes through periods of obsessively tracking my blog activity, using every new post as an opportunity to be mean. In this instance, they even noticed that I’d changed my bio as bait. Previously, this user closely tracked my interactions in order to identify & harass my friends for supporting me. Meanwhile, they were also slandering my name to any potential new friends in an organized effort to make me so lonely & isolated I’d leave Tumblr.

I could keep going. Here’s a snippet from a draft about enduring this:

What a malicious waste of time. Dedicating that much energy to targeting another human being is sad. It's easy to attack someone while hiding anonymously behind burners and anonymous asks. I have so many questions. How do they justify this sort of behavior to themselves? We don't all have to be friends or agree with each other but it's no excuse to act like this. They are clearly capable of judging others but are they holding themselves to the same standards?

Perhaps the person who is targeting @filthforfriends won’t read this. I’m a fairly small and insignificant blog after all. However, if you do, I hope you stop your campaign of cyber bullying. There is no valid justification for attacking others this way.

Your behavior is wrong and has certainly angered me at times but it also makes me sad. What motivates your actions? Are you incapable of introspection or are you simply at a point in your life where you are just too fragile to handle it? How many of your relationships have withered away because of this behavior? It’s easy to slip into a pattern of accusing others of wrongdoing rather than handling interpersonal conflict with the nuance and grace that is so often needed. I can certainly empathize with that and have not always handled conflict well myself.

Targeting others may provide a temporary reprieve from whatever is fueling these actions but it won’t fix it. After 2 years of the same destructive behavior it’s clearly not an effective coping strategy. You need to learn how to take accountability for your actions and the impact they have on others. Nobody is forcing you to interact with people on here that you clearly dislike and cause you emotional distress. You are entitled to feel however you feel but at this point you are not only hurting others but inflicting pain to yourself. The way you behave is unacceptable.

In my experience, people who lash out at others often do so out of pain. Therapy has helped me learn to self regulate, take accountability for my actions and discover healthier ways to cope with conflict. Mental healthcare isn’t always accessible and it can take some trial and error to find the right therapist but it might be helpful if you’re struggling. I hope you can move on from this stage of your life and grow into a happier, healthier human being.

I am so damn cold and tired but there is no one here to cuddle. There aren’t enough fuzzy blankets in the world. Someone needs to come over and be my own personal space heater. On the bright side, I did get my Covid booster and flu shot. May have to splurge and get some Tum Yum Soup. I think I understand cuffing season now. I just want skin to skin contact and heat.
