Remember

I think we're born and forget

The mission is to remember

We forget how to breathe

We forget muscles in our body

We forget pieces of our soul

The people we've been

The eyes we have seen with

The parallels and dimensions of being

How deep can we go within ourselves?

Are there layers of inhabiting a body?

Singing has shown me

How shallowly we live within ourselves

Unaware of the life we hold

I'm not proposing clear sight as the goal

But curiosity has been the pulse in my rhythm

My current concerns are

How can I find power in my softness?

Am I afraid of softness?

I don't think that is true power

What is true power?

Am I afraid of power?

I'm never looking for answers

I like following the threads on the fabric

Between dreams and reality

Last night I dreamt of someone I know and haven't met yet

And when I meet them I'll remember that I know them
