I got stuck on the ending of the thing I mentioned writing forever ago, so I decided to write a sequel to 'We Got Tonight.' I think I'm gonna make into a series but idk. I just think the storyline has a lot of potential

from eden was beyond perfect đđđ
this is probably so old, but thank you <3
Itâs been a very long time but I am writing something, and itâs very embarrassing to type every single bit of dialogue so maybe that means itâll be decent
itâs still hot out. time to romanticize the bleak mid-winter

Wasteland, Baby! Behind the Album Cover
That's my hozier, baby!
Like who gave him the right to cause a stir in my entire being?
My prettier Jesus
Hi there! I remember reading a fic about Andrew's interview with Tommy Tiernan and his partner was mad that he sang when he was sick. I can't seem to find it anywhere, any thoughts? Thanks!
I thought I had that one in my likes but I cannae find it, but I remember it.
Another one to throw to the public - anyone write or know who wrote this?
Oh I think this might be mine
I haven't looked back on my writing in a while, so just a warning for possible (no, definite) cringe writing and terrible characterization.

With all that is going on thereâs something that Iâd like to address. Every time a cis white dude gets cancelled some people like to react with âat least we still have Hozierâ. Stop that. Youâre speaking over an important conversation. Let the victimâs story be told and let people learn from it. The realisation that another white dude is bad doesnât mean you have to praise the one you like for merely existing. Hozierâs image is not what is important here. Heâs human and can make a mistake and be next, you donât know him. And if this kind of comment offends you, take a deep look at yourself and feel free to unfollow.
Hozier: *releases music about death/nature and wanting to buried with his lover*
Y'all: omg funky bog man
Hozier: actually I'm influenced by black artists from jazz, rock, rnb, and soul/gospel. I have a whole song where I incorporate song titles from jazz music. I have collaborated with Mavis Staples and that track is named for Nina Simone.
Y'all: bog fairie fae!!
Hozier: oh also here's a black lives matter post bc i would literally not be making music without black people. I've also been to some protests about abortion and I support lgbt rights
Y'all: omg woke king he cares about the lgbt community and women's issues!!
full offense but hozier did not release several songs saying âfuck cops, fuck capitalism, fuck fascism, fuck settler colonialism, white liberalism is useless, and also FUCK COPSâ to be reduced to colonial cottagecore aesthetic by white women and be compared someone who uses tepid high school metaphors to talk about the Democrats like jfc
the problem here isnât a white woman releasing a cottagecore album and being compared to hozier, itâs how hozierâs previous work and political messages that were specifically written to be about non-white and/or non-Western communities are ignored in favour of what white audiences can consume. Jackboot Jump was about state violence, and it specifically draws attention to non-American events when most artists would refuse to even acknowledge it. Foreigners God and Run are about Irish colonialism by the English. Be is about inhumane immigration conditions. Nina Cried Power was a long tribute to historical activists and Black artists. these are absolutely definitive as part of that canon of work, but they are ultimately ignored in favour of songs that can be pitch-shifted to create a ~wlw love song~
this is obviously a larger issue than swift vs hozier, but it is emblematic of how white audiences consume and, in turn, ignore media that makes them uncomfortable or challenges their paradigms of systemic privilege. the problem is that when creators of colour make political narratives about ourselves, we are ignored; when white creators take time to include radical political narratives about BIPOC, they are are cherry-picked or overlooked for more sanitary messages. white audiences reduce hozierâs music to âforest king fae wizardâ because itâs more comfortable to consume, and because itâs easier to draw similarities to another white artist than acknowledge the sheer depth of influence that Black artists have had.Â
Everyone on the internet:
Hozier fandom to the people in the front row:
would you ever write smut for andrew?
I donât see it happening anytime soon. I donât think Iâd be good at it, and Iâd feel weird like like that about a real person
