Moss I found outside
by the way, the pictures I've uploaded so far get higher quality if you click on them. idk what's up with that but feel free to enjoy them blurred or unblurred at your discretion. and here's another for the road!
I thought you might like these moss-filled pawprints in concrete which I saw earlier. :-)
ID: a row of medium sized pawprints, most likely a dog's, dried into the concrete of a pavement kerb. Time and rain has filled the pawprints in with green moss or lichen. The pavement is glowing in the sunlight and you can see the sitting shadow of a dog beside me.
ID: A closeup on one of the moss/lichen pawprints, almost perfectly filled in.

Moss facts: moss leaves are typically only one cell thick.
Moss fact: mosses absorb water directly into cells via osmosis rather than roots.
Moss fact: moss grows in all seven continents, including Antarctica! The leading theory is that because of climate change, the moss can grow out of control in the land formerly icy, but no longer. They are very dry though.
I also think climate change is why moss grow there.
Moss fact: moss has no roots, vascular system, xylem and phloem to conduct water internally ! So no sap, or liquid inside.
