I should be home doing something useful but who’s going to remind everybody about this apple blossom?

Frosty days ahead.
The Fonte Fria in the woods of Buçaco, a sort of waterfall with steps, and the area at the bottom which also included a pond with a swan and a path lined with tree ferns where there was a sign apologizing for any holes dug in the path by wild boar that wandered there at night. Then I wanted to go into the woods at night to look for wild boar but I ended up staying in the palace/hotel in the evening to see this wild Portuguese Celtic band called Drusuna. Portugal was like that. This day in November of 2019.

I’ve been working on the back garden which had gotten away from me the last few years. Still plenty to do but I dug out the center circle and re-lined it with the local quartz stones I brought home from many walks. In the center circle there are amsonia, monkey flower and swamp milkweed plus a few petunias for color.
The bird bath is new. It’s funny. I found the one I wanted but I couldn’t afford it. But then the right amount of money came to me almost out of nowhere so I ordered it. It looks like it’s just set on the ground but under it I have deep gravel and a flagstone so it should stay steady.
