                          Lydia couldn’t help to think about death was like, especially in times like this. Of course, she didn’t want to die—- but nobody knows what it’s like until they go through it. She had never questioned Beetlejuice about his own death before, and she was given the very response she had expected from him; subtle and sarcastic. Still, she felt like he hadn’t fully answered her question. Staring up at him with a critical look on her face, she let out a small huff.

                   “That doesn’t help, Beej. I mean— I haven’t seen anyone I’ve known when they were alive there.”

                           She knew that was probably the only answer she would end up getting out of her best friend, although she felt it was worth the try. She just wanted to know— and it didn’t make any sense that she hasn’t ever seen any of the living that she once knew there. Then, that brought her thinking back to her mother. If the Neitherworld was the only place the dead went, then why hadn’t she seen her? Unless … she just hadn’t seen her yet. However, she was snapped out of her thoughts as Beetlejuice asked a question that she wasn’t sure she wanted to answer honestly.

                 “Well … no. You know that my mom is really my step-mom, right?”

WOEFULLY uncomfortable best describes the grimace plastered across his face. Sure, he’d figured it was a matter of time before Lydia -- smart, curious, brave Lydia -- would start asking questions about existence after death. For all her experience in the land of the dead, there was still so much about the machinations of it she didn’t understand. Why some ghosts are born dead, why some don’t even look human anymore, if they all remember their lives, or who decides where everyone goes? Even Beetlejuice didn’t know. He’d never taken it upon himself to learn about the inner workings of the Neitherworld.

He was a dead guy from dead-guy land who did a bunch of dead guy stuff. Why should he ask why ?

"But Babes, you’ve met PLENTY of dead folks from history ! ” Beetlejuice pondered, counting them off on his red-tipped fingers. “We met Shakespeare, Poe, uh... Elvis? Did we ever meet Elvis?”

But his attempts to derail are immediately stopped in the face of her next question. The ghoul balked, floating to the ground with a bewildered look. Wait. HAD he known that? Had Lydia ever told him that? Maybe, at some point... or maybe he’d only ever wondered? Lydia and Delia certainly didn’t LOOK related... but, then, Lydia wasn’t much like Charles, either. 

So then who was Lydia’s mom? && what did that have to do with--

Oh.

“... yer mom’s dead.” Beej voices the thought, eyebrows hiked sky high as the realization dawns on him and his voice is very nearly apologetic. “ && you’re wondering why you haven’t seen her...”

Hey guys! So...

I’m still flagged a week and a half post my first appeal (i’ve followed up with three other help reuqests, none of which received a response) and there’s still no response from Tumblr. Additionally, i’m muted.

SO here’s the deal: I’m not going to modify my content . I’m not going to pretend the character I play is a squeaky clean, child-friendly Toddlr-approved friendly ghost , just so I can stick around a site where i’m muted && flagged for the sake of stroking tumblr’s app-store-friendly cock . 

My blog cannot be searched, cannot have an icon or banner, I am consistently having to scroll through my blog to re-appeal items that had previously already been appealed/approved . They just get flagged, again, despite these posts being SFW . 

 I’m really not keen on being consistently ignored by support any time I reach out , nor do I appreciate the tone of their shitty “response” to the wave of hatred. I recognize they give absolutely no shits . 

BUT, taking this blog somewhere else is... an extremely harrowing undertaking. My RP experience has been mainly on Tumblr since 2012 and before that it was on livejournal, over email, and in various forums/chatroom websites that have since floated off into nothing . 

Essentially, if I leave tumblr, I lose everyone I interact with. I lose everything I’ve written, every relationship I’ve built ic/ooc, my art and edits specific to this blog, I lose my community.

 And honestly, without other folks to write with, what the hell is the point ?
