Ketch was beginning to think God was wrapped up on making his life really miserable with the string of horrible events continuously unfolding. He would have been fine with it if it was just him, but this all included MICK- who never deserved a single moment of the dreadful situations.
He was speechless before Barry took off, after that he’d heard footsteps on the stairs and Jack appeared at the door frame holding their new kitten.
“Mr.Ketch, I thought there was an incident in the hospital, are you okay?” The nephilim tilted his head slightly to the side, setting the kitten down on the floor and approaching Arthur who was on the verge of breaking down.
It was ALL his damned fault. He shouldn’t have made him stay the moment he showed up it would have been better that way.
“I’ll be… I will be.” Jack took a few steps to him and put his finger to the older man’s temple. Healing his injuries then stepping back.
“Where’s Castiel?” Arthur immediately followed up, desperate to once again try to save the love of his life.
“He went to the hospital after hearing about it. He should be back by-“ Jack got cut off
“Ketch, what the hell happened.” Arthur jumped a bit to the new voice.
“Asmodeus kidnapped me then Mick went after him for doing that…. Yes, I know, long story but I REALLY need your help.”
Flying back to where Asmodeus and Mick were hadn’t been a problem at all, unfortunately the escape plan was never so simple. Though the Demon Prince was in a rather horrid state upon the ground, the vessel charred and failing to rise to his feet after the incredible blast which surged through the room, the fiend managed to impede the Angel of Saturday from making a swift getaway.
The angelic blade which Barry had loaned to the younger celestial had been skillfully through, twirling through the air before impaling into the back of his left wing, hissing through gritted teeth as he tried to bear the intense pain. Grabbing a hold of his unconscious son in one arm and using the other to yank the silver sword from himself did Barachiel break out into a sprint, hoping to lose whoever was on his heels.
Rushing through large doors to get outside did the wounded angel make a break for the woods, boots hitting muddy ground and dried crackling leaves underfoot as the man zig-zagged through in attempt to confuse anything coming after him.
Suddenly howls began to shatter the silence of the forests, the ethereal, haunting sound setting the hairs on the back of the angel’s neck on end as trained ears recognized that sound.
It could only be those demonic pitbulls which Asmodeus would send after him.
