I'm sorry, and i do mean that sincerely. The first username change was because moony-reggie was never meant to be permanent. I set it up just to read and had no intention of writing under it. This past change was because I was fed up of people being sent over to leave hateful comments/asks just because their friend didn't like my fic. I figured if I changed my username, I might get a brief break from people telling me to kms just because I put Remus in Slytherin, even if it was just whilst they tracked me down under my new name. It may seem pointless but every time I logged on there was someone else complaining. Thank you for reading my stories and recommending them, I appreciate you and will keep this username now ♥️

pls don’t ever call yourself a sirius fan again when not even one person is your fic was able to put him first. it would’ve been fine if you had at the very least tagged the fic ( not only about remus but about james) . this is not a wolfstar fic. this is a fic in which a very ooc remus (which normally i like to read about) puts regulus first because they’re best friends. also, how do you make them hook up and not clarify that in the tags? if i click on a WOLFSTAR fan fiction i am not going in expecting remus sleeping and having sexual tension with sirius’ brother. i know you’re not active anymore but just wanted to leave this here

Your opinion is your opinion but fic writers can't be expected to tag every little thing in their story. Especially when it's 700k words... the warnings were there though. "Pushing the boundaries of platonic" and "platonic sexual content" being a big clue that something will happen between two friends, and since this is a moonwater friendship centered fic, it kind of figures that it will be them. I stated from the beginning that the fic would focus on Remus and Regulus' friendship/relationship but at the end of it, it is still a wolfstar fic. I also stated that Remus was in Slytherin, so it also kind of figures he would be ooc. If you didn't like it, that's fine. I don't expect everyone to like everything because that would be ridiculous, but please consider taking a look at my other fics before you tell me whether or not I can call myself a Sirius fan. I very much like Sirius, just as much as Remus and Regulus, but that wasn't the point of this particular story. I've taken the time to highlight the tags and details in the notes that I included for people to read before the fic is even started, just in case you missed them and these can be found below.

The memories flood through him far too quickly, setting his nerves on edge. He doesn’t know what to expect to feel when he turns to look at Remus, likely sleeping with his irresistible mouth slightly parted once again. He doesn’t know what to expect when they share their good-mornings, whether Remus will remember, bring it up; or simply act like it never happened. A part of him wishes he was dreaming, that it never actually happened. But he knows he couldn’t have been. After all, he's never once turned Remus down in his dreams – and he didn’t think he ever would in real life, either.

Of course, there's a chance he’s read this entire situation wrong, but he’s sure Remus was about to kiss him. He would go as far as betting his life savings on it.

He takes a deep breath when he decides it’s time to face the music, rolling onto his back whilst ensuring he stays firmly on his side of the bed. A part of him is thankful they didn’t wake up in a similar position to the previous day, but the other part aches at the space between them. It feels like he’s never been this far away from Remus before, even though it’s mere inches, and it hurts.

When Sirius is on his back, he takes another deep breath before turning his head slowly. He expects to catch sight of dishevelled hair, or perhaps peaceful eyes, and at the very least, Remus. But he finds none of this because the other side of the bed is empty. Remus is gone.

Those opinions belong in private conversations or in your private bookmarks, nowhere else. Fanfics are gifts that we aren’t entitled to, and we have to treat them as such.

Sirius sighs as he sinks into the cushions on the little two seater sofa, his eyes drifting toward the kitchen of the little flat he and Remus share with James. It’s only small, but it’s enough for them.

Remus is standing by the kettle, two mugs ready and waiting as he bobs his head to the music. He loves this; the domesticity their relationship has always had. He had worried, when he was younger, that he would never have something as simple as that. Something as simple as watching his partner make them a hot drink, or stand at their side as they tidied up the kitchen after making dinner. His view on love was drastically different to the stories he read, and that was all thanks to his parents.

He believed love was an agreement. Something people did with somebody they barely tolerated simply so they wouldn’t have to live out their life alone. He believed they would simply have to co-exist in the same space, yet hardly share a word or a smile. He believed love was what his parents had, and promised himself he would never fall in love himself if that animosity would be something he would have to endure day in, day out, for the rest of his life.

When he started reading the books Lily would lend him, he realised that perhaps he had misunderstood love his entire life. What his parents had was nothing like the fictional characters who fell hard and fast, or slow and steady. No matter how they fell, it always ended the same way; longing, comfort, safety. From that day onward, he wanted it. He wanted love.

He never thought he would be lucky enough to feel it, but especially not in one of his best friends. When he first fell for Remus, he kept that secret buried deep inside. He was sure his feelings would never be reciprocated, but also, he believed he and Remus would end up the same way his parents did. Despite the reading, the feelings; the real love he’d heard of, his mind was treacherous, full of doubts. He would look at Remus and picture them happy yet dream of a broken world collapsing around them. Sirius knew Remus would never intentionally hurt him, but believed he was unlovable. How could somebody so kind and gentle ever be satisfied with somebody broken beyond repair?

When his feelings came tumbling out one rainy day when they were cooped up in their dorm, Sirius wasn’t expecting Remus to smile; to close the space between them and press his lips gently to Sirius’. He definitely didn’t expect the little fluttering feeling his heart and stomach made.

Remus would spend each and every day after that telling Sirius how much he loved him. Whether he knew the extent of Sirius’ self-doubt or not, he isn’t sure, but Remus always made sure any thoughts didn’t linger for long. Because it turns out, all of Sirius’ worries were for nothing. Seven years down the line, and they are still very much in love. Their relationship is nothing like the one of his parents. They support each other through decisions and hold each other whilst they sleep. They laugh in the kitchen and cry over movies and books. They smile when they pass on the way to the bathroom and lock hands each time they take to the streets. They’re in love. Real love.

Sometimes, Sirius does find himself spilling. He will glance at Remus and convince himself it will all go wrong. After all, there’s no way he’s that lucky, right? How could someone like him find the perfect man? The one who will take care of him every moment of every day without question. The one who will hold him and love him like he’s the most precious thing in the universe. The one who is snappy and moody, not afraid to stand up for himself, yet the total opposite with Sirius. The one who will melt and blush from something as simple as a look from him. He always doubted the possibility of himself being loved before Remus. Now, there’s no question.

“Sirius,” he hears softly, shifting his gaze from where it was still fixed on the kitchen to find Remus kneeling before his, eyes full of concern. “Love, is everything alright?”

Sirius smiles and nods softly. “Everything is perfect,”

“You’re sure? If you’re…”

“I’m not spiralling. Not this time.” He promises, leaning forward and wrapping his arms around Remus’ neck. He always worries when Sirius spirals, despite being able to effortlessly pull him back to reality. Sirius will never understand how he manages it. How he grounds him so perfectly. “I was just struck with how lucky I am to have you.” He finishes in a whisper.

Remus bites down on his bottom lip before shaking his head. “I’m the lucky one.”

Sirius doesn’t have a chance to voice his argument before Remus closes the distance between them, pressing their lips together and making Sirius feel more at home than ever before. He always kisses Sirius like he’s the air needed to breathe; like he will spontaneously combust if he dares create any space between their skin. Sirius loves it. He relishes in it. Not only feeling like he is the most important person in Remus’ life, but knowing it to be true.

Remus keeps kissing him as he shifts upward, pressing Sirius into the sofa as he finds his way onto his lap. Sirius’ hands drop to his waist, pulling him closer. He feels alive. Remus smiles against his lips, twisting his hand around Sirius’ hair in a way that makes his breath catch. Their eyes lock when the kiss finally breaks, what must be a mirror image of heat and desire in both of their gazes. He will never tire of the way Remus looks at him.

“Oi!”

The voice behind him breaks the moment, but he doesn’t move. Remus sighs and lifts his head just slightly, giving James the look he has surely become accustomed to over the years. He seems to have an awful habit of interrupting them. “Yes?” He asks innocently, keeping his hands protectively, greedily, on Sirius.

“Get a room, lovebirds.” James laughs. The sound is followed by retreating footsteps and a closing door. Remus’ gaze once again drops to Sirius.

“You know, that’s not a bad idea.” He whispers.

Sirius leads the way, knowing that later, they will reemerge to two cold mugs sitting on the coffee table and a knowing smirk from James. But he wouldn’t have it any other way because this right here? This is love.
