Having had some history with Piers, they were long time close friends. While Zakar was considered his best friend, he saw Piers as a very close friend. Many from either side of their families and respective houses had sort of put the two together to try and wed. But Darreth never saw himself as someone to get married. He decided to pick a side that wasn’t as populated, and turned around to begin dancing with the other. “I will say, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a partner that wasn’t my uncle that I was dancing with.”

Daegal nodded his head as the other asked the question, he liked that the other asked before he sat down across the from the other. He motioned for the other to sit as he moved a bowl of breads closer to the other. “Have some while you get your own food. “ said Daegal as he looked to the other and smiled politely. “I am Daegal.”

It wasn’t often that Piers went to some other place for food. He enjoyed his own cooking and baking, after all. But every now and then he either ran low on supplies or was just feeling lazy. Piers sat down politely and smiled. “My name is Piers. What would you recommend here?” Piers asked curiously as he looked around, taking a small piece of bread. “And thanks, by the way. Both the bread offering and the seat.”

Sir? Declan did like the sound of that. It didn’t take much to stroke his ego. “Right”, Deccy replied simply, grabbing his coins and placing them back in his pockets. “Darling…” he went on, placing one of his hands on the other’s shoulder. “If you want to dance with me, you’ll have to show me a bit more… conviction.” In all honesty, Deccy didn’t mind being asked politely. But he wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to give someone a hard time.

Piers flushed as he heard the other man’s words. “Well...Darling,” Piers said as he leaned forward to whisper into the other man’s ears. “Let’s not forget our manners and remember to thank people who give us back our money, okay?” Piers said it sickly sweet and sarcastically, the smile on his face never leaving. Piers was normally sweet as can be, but Piers couldn’t help but to tease the other a bit. “Fine. Please sir, may I have this dance?” Piers asked as he offered his hand to the other once more. He could feel his aunt practically rolling over in her grave, yelling at him that it’s not how a proper ‘lady’ of etias should speak.
