Here are some enemy ideas I had while I was still working on the project. The first two are my favorites, while the last two were supposed to be an inside joke that I decided to turn into an actual enemy. Hope you like it!
Mother Odyssey has always been a project that I really enjoyed working on (even if I never found any use for it). I like creating stories, and the Mother series has always been something that inspired me to be more creative with the stories I liked to tell.
I haven't found a use for this project yet, but I'll continue sketching ideas based on what I've been enjoying lately, such as games, books, series and films that inspire me.
My goal was never to make Mother Odyssey a JRPG game, as I think there are already a lot of these ideas that are being executed very well and that I couldn't add. None of this will be paid for and is in no way intended for profit. I want you to know that I'm just a guy who really likes the Mother/Earthbound series, and who would like to contribute something to this small, but very united and active community.
I hope I can create something different for Mother Odyssey, and I'm counting on your help to give me ideas and more to share. Thank you very much and, if everything goes well, I'll see you soon!! โค๏ธ

Thank you all up to this point. I'm making some progress on the story, but there are still some things I need to decide on the project. It's been a rough road, and as a thank you I decided to make a new welcome art in my spare time! ๐
I know I haven't been posting very often (of course, the last post was in September of last year), but I have a few things to say!!
Firstly, Merry Christmas and Late New Years Eve to all Mother Odyssey followers!! I've been really busy lately with some projects, personal issues and stuff, but I'm starting to get back to Mother Odyssey, and I'm bringing this little post with some random art I made before I disappeared.

To clear things up (including switching from RPG to a series of stories/fanfic - explain link at end of blog) I want to make it clear that I've been working on some other projects like: my new music blog @lyrical-bootleg (take a look and follow if you can ๐ญ), and another story I've been working on. Also, I have had some personal issues involving relationships that are not worth mentioning here. Hello to all the countrymen from the land of Odyssey! Is everyone all right? Hope I heard a yes!! Anyway, I (@neromaruti), humbly come to Mother Odyssey's profile to introduce you to a new project. Odyssey has gone and still goes through several problems and detours along the way, reaching a point where it becomes completely impossible to deal with these adversities. All the complexities of creating Odyssey will not be matched in the way you expect, however, I come to bring a new proposal to all of you. And this proposal is called... Mother Odyssey... The SERIES!!
I've always been a lover of comic books, literature, poetry and the like, and one of the things I love most is comic books. I write for a hobby, being almost a profession these days. With that, an idea came to mind to bring the Earthbound and Mother Odyssey community together to create a great story. For that, I would like to assemble a team of writers to create weekly chapters of Odyssey, with their plots intertwining until the end of the series. I know it sounds like a difficult and silly job, as it sounds pretty ridiculous speaking out loud. However, you see, I would love to be able to create a more united community on Earthbound, and for that specific purpose I would like to create this "fanfiction" of Mother.
Earthbound has always been known to be, above all, a creative game. Wouldn't it be strange if the community didn't follow this trend? For that I would like to create this "team", a team to help in the creation and scripting of Mother Odyssey. I know this sudden change seems strange, but trust me, if all goes well, Mother Odyssey will be a good and joyful story. I hope you understand and read it with love. ๐

Today is the 27th of August, EarthBound's birthday!!
This game is one of the most important games in my life, and I hope we can all celebrate with this beautiful art I made by bringing Cody, Ness, Poo, Jeff and Paula together!!
This game was extremely inspired by our psychic little boys franchise. Toby Fox is a genius in the gaming industry, and that's undeniable. Thank you Toby Fox for delivering a game so true to itself. Hello everyone! good morning, good afternoon or even good night, whatever time of day you are reading this. If you're reading this, get the latest good (and not-so-good) news about our project: Mother Odyssey!!
From now on, before we start, I would like to deeply apologize to everyone who has accompanied us here. A thousand apologies to all readers! I want to note that we are already working on new sprites, a better constructed story and plot, and a system to envy (not that much, but it's quite affordable). I would like to introduce everyone to the new contributor to the project: Luiza, or, as I like to call it... Menome Renoir!!
Well, skipping this bad presentation, Renoir will take care of the systematic part of the project. I want to record again that after my computer crashed, we wouldn't be able to keep up with Odyssey. However, now, even though this is not completely settled, we will continue with the project little by little. New enemy sprites have already been not only thought about, but created. The story is interesting and I try my best to make it pleasing to the audience. Sorry for any rush to write this message, however, I missed writing something with such excitement!!

Unfortunately, I am unhappy to inform you that we will cease the activities of the Odyssey project indefinitely, due to personal unforeseen circumstances.
Before the project existed and reached tumblr, we already had some almost circumstantial problems in Odyssey, such as the number of members, difficulty and grandeur of the project, time willing to be spent on it and personal problems with the creators (besides, now the biggest problem is a water damaged notebook). We recently decided to take an indeterminate break from the project. However, the project will not end anytime soon! This stop will not be forever, it is only momentary. Over time, we'll post some minor things, and we'll let you know when we get back to the project.

As some new people may be arriving at the project, we will provide you with a great deal of information about the development of the project and what we intend to do in the future. I'm @neromaruti, and you're reading about... Mother Odyssey, the first EarthBound table rpg!!
Mother Odyssey (or EarthBound Odyssey, if you prefer), is a table rpg that is being developed by a hard-working team of two. The project is led, here on tumblr, by @jonathan-stevens (who speaks to you on this blog, by chance). Before this blog completely dedicated to Odyssey, the project was published in the personal profile itself, but, with the addition of the blog you are reading, this will no longer be necessary. The project has, as an idea, to create a playable table rpg in two ways: a campaign already created and a way to create your own campaign.
The project was conceived as a table rpg between friends, however, it soon took on a larger form and a giant potential grew, making only two people want to create a fan rpg for fans. The project is not for profit, it is just something among the community. There are no other modes of communication (besides tumblr itself and the developer's discord), such as groups on facebook, telegram and not even a server on discord. this is due to the fact that the project is still very small. we do not have dates or many plans for the future, however, we are eager to develop something big and fantastic for the community. As, for now, there are only two people who develop the project (and, on top of that, two Brazilians), we ask for your understanding, as well as your positive support and your patience. we want the project to be finalized, so please just watch us while we do the best we can in our work! ๐
Well, let's leave this mess aside and let's talk about what we have so far. The idea of โโthe game is to have a main campaign, which is almost finished. However, several things are still missing. We will provide a link on the google drive when the project sprites are ready. Calm down, "what do you mean, sprites?", Oh, I forgot to warn you! The project will have representative images of some NPCs, monsters, items and more. However, unfortunately, this will only be available for the main campaign. The system will be extremely amateurish, however, this will only be in the campaign that we will develop, which will already have chips ready for each player. We are still developing the "master's book" for anyone who wants to play the campaign. We will have a bestiary with the game's monsters, as well as a book that will contain the items. Everything will be made available by this blog in pdf format. (obviously, none of this is ready yet, however, we will make an exclusive blog when it is finished).
One of the biggest problems that is hindering the project is the number of people and our amateurism. For now, I'm making the story (which has been said to be, on purpose, a parody of the other games, with references and characters obviously out of place). The sprites are also being made by me, @neromaruti, but we are not far behind because we want to finish the master's book first. If there are talented people who want to bless the project, soon we will be opening vacancies to help. We will need many experts in the subject of table rpg, because with a 100% new game, we want to develop a new system as well. We don't want it to be too complex, however, we want everyone to be able to have fun and have a complete and enjoyable experience.
We intend to finish reviewing the story soon, so we started making some sprites too (as well as the master's book, which was quoted several times above). Cody will remain the protagonist, however, we will give space for all the characters to shine, especially in battles. "Ask Odyssey" is also available. There, everyone will be able to leave their questions to be answered and, the most repeated will be part of a FAQ (which will be asked after collecting the necessary questions from ask). Ask Odyssey is accessible by going to Mother Odyssey's blog home page, with a specific box for questions only. Leave all your doubts there, as they will either be answered on the spot, or will have a specific blog for the questions posted there. Visit our ask! ๐
