Hello! Welcome to the mothgallery blog! 

This blog is the character design and casual counterpart to the moth gallery webcomic, which you can read from the beginning here on Tumblr (with text transcripts) or here on Webtoon. The webcomic is about the world of moths.

Where have I been?

... Having not very good mental health. Things have been going slowly for a lot of small reasons, and all of those small reasons together have made me feel very unmotivated. But! I do have some moth gallery news! I recently made a physical catalogue of the original 366 moth species i drew back in 2019-2020!

I formatted and printed the entire set of 366 moths, and then I handbound into a hardback book using coptic stitch :) It’s by no means professional quality but I think it’s pretty nice work for a hobby bookbinder like myself. It’s so nice to be able to have a physical reference of my moth gallery so I don’t have to go back to my notes which are such a messy nightmare...

The number on the top left is the number of the moth I drew, and the number on the top right is the date which I drew it on. The number on the bottom left is wingspan, bottom right is height. Even the background color has a meaning, but I won’t be able to tell you about that yet.

I’m sorry I don’t have any new content (only recycled content) but I still wanted to show it off. And I am also working on something else unrelated to the comic ;))

Hi everyone!

There isn’t any new moths introduced in the next Moth Gallery chapter. So here are some random designs for other characters who may or may not be vaguely connected to the setting - Eudalaca Rufescens Moth and Schinia Siren Moth!

Could you possibly put a transcript for your comics? I really wanna read it but I have dyslexia so it’s really difficult for me! You of course don’t have to do it, but id really appreciate it!

It's no problem! I should have probably done that from the beginning considering how... interesting my handwriting is. I added transcripts for the text at the bottom of each page here on Tumblr, hope it helps.
