The window visual did me in I’m wheezing
I haven’t seen this in years and yet it is burned into my memory forever.
This is on the short list of Eternal Reblog because it’s fucking legendary.

Sometimes I just want to go up to a girl
And ask her to marry me.
Let's just join our lives and money together and defraud the government.
Then we can watch horror movies, play video games, and do crafts. With cats and plushies everywhere.
It'll never happen, but it's nice to dream about.

Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
And this gem 👇
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard)
Aaron Rutten (free)
BoroCG (free)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates)
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, ect Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Libresprite (free, for pixel art)
Those are the ones I can recall.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
Incase people missed this.
New Frame Plus for character animation! Incredible analysis by the guy that used to do Extra Credits
Autodesk sketchbook is also a free drawing program
Nomad sculpt is an iPad app for 3D modeling as well! It’s much more user friendly than blender, so it’s great for beginners but it does cost a 1 time price of like $20
Man I can't believe we're getting to see these two all up in each other's spaces (both initiated the contacted at different times fwi).
They really got some fire behind this thing between them. I wonder why Alastor rejected him so harshl- .... wait
WAIT. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??
Is that a painting of a shirtless Vox riding his pet shark, Shock.wav?? Am I seeing this correctly?
Because you KNOW that Vox commissioned this nerdy ass painting from Val. There's no way he came up with this fuckery on his own.
I have also seen the exact opposite sentiment popping up occasionally, saying that 3D printing has no place whatsoever in creative circles and that it's analogous to AI art.
This is also bullshit.
In my mind and workflow, building a 3D printed model or prop is analagous to building a model from a kit. Yes, the pieces have all been made for you, but Objects don't come off a printer fully finished. Cleanup, sanding, and ESPECIALLY painting are all essential parts of the 3D printing process. Or, it's parts for kitbashing. Every model spaceship in Star Wars was made mostly of parts from other, unrelated kits and those are most certainly Art. I frequently use 3D printed parts to add detail to otherwise non-printed things.
And digital 3D modelling is an artform and a skill all its own. I've been learning for about six months now and I'm still struggling with the basics of fusion360. Something like blender or Zbrush is WAAAAAY beyond me right now. If you want to use the technology to its full potential, that is a skill you need to learn. Every model you can download is a model someone out there made. Even if the creators are selling them for money, everything on the internet is open-source SOMEWHERE.
When used well, the 3D printer (and all digital fabrication tools (laser cutters, CNC machines, vinyl printers, etc.)) is a place where art, engineering, programming, and the DIY movement can all have hot steamy sex in a big beautiful pile.
For example: In the world of theatre props, we use 3D printing EXTENSIVELY because items will often need to be able to do things that they can't in their normal material. A couple years ago, I was working on a production of Mary Poppins where the director wanted a magic tea set with cups that floated as you poured into them. So, we needed teacups with holes in them (the gag relied on fishing wire) and teacups that could survive a fall if dropped. Ceramic is 0-2 on those attributes so we instead decided on... 3D printing! Teacup stls are a dime a dozen and it let us put holes PRECISELY where we needed them while the cup was still triangles in a computer. And it's plastic so it will almost certainly not break, while also being cheap enough that it doesn't fuck us if one of the cups DOES break. A couple days sanding and painting and hey presto it's an edwardian-looking tea set that behaves exactly the way we need it to.
One of the first things I ever digitally modelled and printed was a replacement curtain hook in my dad's bedroom. 10 years on and it's still holding.
I'm not an engineer but I can still see the merit in being able to test the function and fit of a piece in cheap, semi-disposable plastic before I start making molds of it or carving it out of Very Expensive Metal.
It's not a replacement for anything by any means. 3D printed parts are still cheap, mostly hollow plastic. They WILL break if severely abused and they don't take modification well once printed. It can't do everything.
The hype isn't real but neither is the backlash. Holding up a big flashing sign that says nuance.
Who would win in a fight?
Judy Hopps
Nik
Theres so much going on with him. He started this as a bit and it exploded on tiktok. He jumped on the "thirsting for judy hopps train" when the movie came out (that he has not seen) and he got very popular from it. Some of what he says is just for the bit, some is actually true. Things he has said has happened that may or may not actually be true:
Has been blocked from 10 disney accounts
Has been banned from Disney parks
If he has actually been banned then he has been caught trying to get into the parks
Has received a cease and desist letter regarding judy hopps, which caused him to temporarily rebrand to nickwildlover69
Has other legal issues with Disney
Has a kid
Has died (made a video talking about the gofundme)
Something something he's bradley uppercrust iii
Him being Bradley Uppercrust III is 100% true.

I do love how there are some moments that suggest Gladys... Kind of sucks as a witch? She puts Alex's parents and his classmates under her spell to keep herself alive, but we never see that really working, or if she even knows a spell for that. She doesn't lie down suffering again after that one scene, but she doesn't look visually any different (unless she puts on her make-up and disguise) nor does she act particularly different*. She also say she'll know if Alex tells on her, but she very well might be lying, and relying on her threats and Alex's fear of her. After all, she did not know of Justine spying on them, only noticing when Marcus was alerted, and only finding out when the teacher fell asleep during her stake-out. The only thing we see her definitely be competent at is hypnotizing people and manipulating others.
I don't know, I just really like the idea of a villain with actual magic powers, but whose actual control over people is fear and smoke and mirrors. Kinda like Karaba or the the Wicked Witch of the West (in the book).
*there is one detail that suggests she does know how to do this magic: when she first talks to Marcus, she calls tuberculosis "consumption", something that immediately strikes the principal odd as an old expression. If Gladys really is so old that she falls back on out-of-use language, than she might even not be Alex's aunt at all, only having tricked her way somehow into the family. So she might actually be very proficient with magic. Still doesn't change that she was beaten by a third grader at her own game
Gladys is definitely older than she's pretending to be.
She also seemed a confused at the idea of CPS during the meeting with the principal, she was repeating it to herself like she had never heard of the term before. CPS as we know it was established in 1974, everything before then that was similar went by different names.
During that meeting too, she said Alex's mom was her 'baby sister', but later during Alex's chapter they say that Gladys is the mom's aunt who they haven't seen for fifteen years.
My thought is that she keeps showing up as an aunt who no one's heard of for a while and goes to pick the members who are young/isolated. Alex's mom mentioned that she was taking care of Gladys 'like her mother would have if she was still here', so Gladys probably knows to pop up once all the older people who could verify things are gone.
This might not be the only family she's done this with.
Has anyone seen the dancing skeletons lately? I haven’t seen them in a while
These guys?
Yesssssss I missed the gay dancing skeletons
no you do not need to hold fictional characters "accountable". they are not real.
holding fictional characters accountable is the same thing as holding a child's doll accountable.
I just realized some of yall are too young to remember the killer clown sightings of 2016
The clowns will return.

THIS IS SO FUCKING FUNNY @hellsite-hall-of-fame
Do new clex shippers know there's a comic where Superman died and Lex is insane and lives on the Kent farm making Superman clones and wears Clark's shirts and wax poetry about how perfect he was and his last wish before sacrificing himself is for people to tell Superman about it
