Hey, if you're checking out this tumblr blog it means you got some really bad tastes. Jk, I'm happy you're here. I'm Moth, I do art and other cool things like music and writing, but you're more likely to see art than you are my other creative projects. I go by He/Him and They/them pronouns. I'm Gender-fluid, (meaning if you put me in the freezer I become Gender-soild no but seriously I am trans please respect my pronouns) so I don't really stick one category for very long. I might not post often, I got like a bunch of mental health issues that make it tough to socialize because sometimes existing is its own challenge. You wanna know what kind I'm into huh? I bake, and draw. I go to college for both of those things. (Well, I'm done with most of my baking stuff anyway, lol but I still go to college for animation) Full time college student life, til I graduate. My favorite thing to make is tiramisu and my least favorite thing to make is macrons mostly because are theyre so difficult to get right. Fandom wise, I've been into Pokemon, Sonic, and Vocaloid ever since I was a wee bug but I have gained several more things to obsess over as I got older. Like Trauma Center! You ever heard of Trauma Center? Its a really good game, if you're into anime surgeon simulators. (Atlus please come back to us its been 20 years) I like don't starve, splatoon kirby, cookie run and all that jazz. All my socials usually have the same name "mothsbakery" but my strawpage does list some other ones including this very tumblr!

I wanna engage in fandom spaces and with my friends but unfortunately I got mental illnesses that more or less make that difficult. Like I'm talking about the simple "oh I'm just a shy lil baby"

I get aggravated real easily, that aggravation leads to anxiety because I do impulsive stupid shit when upset, and then I become convinced I'm public enemy #1 like I've legitimately ruined relationships over this shit. I've obsessed over people liking me I've obsessed over people because we had one or two interactions

I'm genuinely not a stable person you wanna be around. The fact there's people who tolerate my existence is great but my brain is so fixated on the day everyone has enough of me and leaves. If that time comes I don't blame them.

I know years of undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues will do that to a bitch but quite frankly I'm disgusted by myself when I do start experiencing the symptoms.

Tldr: I wanna be more social but my nervous system is so shot that any sign of stress triggers me to freak out

I wanna thank my self shipping/oc x canon friends and mutuals as being around and engaging with you has helped me unlearn some parts of cringe culture I internalized when I was younger. I wanna thank the people who don't necessarily do self ship or oc x canon stuff for letting me ramble about my OC x canon stuff and finding my stuff engaging at least a little bit.

I just wanna thank everyone for allowing me to create things without shaming me for it.

I usually don't like saying this to people but just because a certain medication/therapy didn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work for other people. I mostly hear this from folks on TT but I cannot stress it enough.

Ssris are helpful, therapy is helpful. Someone talking about medication and therapy being helpful for them is not an invitation for you to tell them it doesn't work, that being said however when someone is talking about meds and therapy not working for them it's not an invitation to tell that person they're not trying hard enough to get better, different things work with different folks and it's important to talk about alternative methods with dealing with mental health with an open mind

welcome once again, survivors, to Youson Week!

Youson Week is a prompt-based art challenge designed for DST selfshippers of all kinds and characters. it started out as a way to highlight self inserts and ocs specific to Wilson, and has now flourished into a general appreciation for selfshipping within the DST fandom. it is also inspired directly by Maxwil and Weslow week!

Youson Week starts annually on May 19th, and will be held for 7 days. we have about a two week grace period for people that have to start late, or take their time on their submissions! here we will be highlighting all entries, tagged by their artist handle, the year, and the prompt day. (i.e. #mxboxlocks, #youson week 2026, #day 5)

AUs will be listed by their names (i.e. 'the darker side of science au'). if an au shares the same name or it's a common concept, it'll have the artist name first (i.e. mxboxlocks swap au).

these are the guidelines! important ones are highlighted in blue:

crossover ships are literally awesome, so they're allowed too! last year we had wilson x megaman and i sincerely adored every bit of it

your prompt can be in art, writing, music, animation, or any other medium you deem fit!
