Pokemon and Oculus Rift combined with Leap Motion aka the game we’ve all been waiting for
Is this the next step for Leap Motion?
I definitely hope so
A blog post all about it here!
Leap Motion as a lot of potential, it’s an exciting product with a large amount of people eager to try it out for themselves. In my opinion, it could really take off. Provided, of course, the company doesn’t make the same mistakes the last ones did...
If you’re feeling a bit lost with the term “Technological Determinism” I don’t blame you. Try having a read of this post and that’ll explain it all for you.
The enthusiastic reception that Leap Motion has received can be regarded as evidence towards technological determinism, holding true to the principle that people cannot help but use new technology.
So what does it mean for motion control? How could it change us?
Did the printing press cause the end of the feudal system?
Technological Determinism says yes.
What do you say?
Big words, and scary sounding, but it’s a lot easier to understand than you’d think. In a single sentence, you could say that technological determinism is the notion that technology changes our behaviour without us having any control over it
New blog post! Ready to learn about the impact of technology?
One word that can summarize what’s happening with Leap Motion right now? Innovation.

The goal of Leap Motion is always letting people feel like they are reaching into computers and technology.
Michael Buckwald
“One word that can summarise what’s happening with Leap Motion right now? Innovation. People are rapidly thinking of new ways to use this new technology, combining it with Oculus Rift for example just goes to show how quickly this is happening, since neither product is out for the general public yet.”
A hot topic right now, Leap Motion and Oculus Rift combo! New post about all this innovation up on my blog now!
Who Is Going to Win the Virtual Reality Race?
Who Is Going to Win the Virtual Reality Race? #vr #virtualreality
In truth, virtual reality tech has been around for a while now. I’d venture to guess it’s been around for at least a decade, maybe more. That said, it hasn’t been viable for much other than consumer-based products. That’s unfortunate, because it doesn’t take a genius to understand the potential implications for such a technology.
Imagine a surgeon who can hone his craft in a virtual environment,…

It seems reasonable that there is a considerably large pop culture influence that feeds our fascination with it, which gives us the inspiration and desire to create devices like Leap Motion.
Minority Report is one that comes to mind straight away, and any Marvel movie with Tony Stark in it definitely has some form of motion control. If it’s sci-fi, there’s probably some kind of motion control.

So here’s another toy I would love to get my hands on - the Leap Motion Controller. Leap allows you to manipulate on-screen elements through gestures - without requiring gloves and other add-on fiducial markers!
At just 45grams and 76mm long, this tiny little device is jam-packed with awesome goodies that allow you to use what you already have to augment your digital experience!
The consumer level controller is available at USD 99, and there’s a developer kit available as well for those who are able to code…
Me? I’m just gonna sit on my hands here and moan about how I’ve run out of money to spend on tech toys…
Personally I think the leap motion ads should follow suit with the old motion control ones
Hey!
You’ve probably heard about leap motion, motion control just like in sci-fi movies, it’s pretty cool.
I’ve got a blog where I’m putting up all my research into it (https://motionui.wordpress.com/) so if you’re at all interested and want to learn more, come over and have a look!
