so far becoming a mother feels like: how am i supposed to do anything else but be with my baby. the fear, exhaustion, unknown has just melted into a flurry of activity, giggles, and getting it all done all for him. life is sweet. i am still me, but so much better for loving and being loved by my baby. his fingerprints on my glasses, his nibbles on my food, his smiles when i do nothing but exist. god is in every room with us.
POV you are a baby holding an apple you plucked too early in your family’s garden. it’s ok they will ripen for you soon enough.
Every day with you is love made new

hello i will be fine and actually more than fine once i survive this part of my life
in 2016 you could make like one or two solid mutuals a month and they would be locked in forever if you were chill
It's easy to see why Diane is attracted to the palette of the French Impressionists. Soft yellows with bright accents of blues and greens are a recurrent color theme in the dining room. And when her garden is in full bloom, Diane cuts flowers for every room.

Fortune by Jenny George
“Love bestows innocence. It has nothing to forgive. The person loved is not the same as the person seen crossing the street or washing her face. Nor exactly the same as the person living his (or her) own life and experience, for he (or she) cannot remain innocent. Who then is the person loved? A mystery, whose identity is confirmed by nobody except the lover. How well Dostoevsky saw this. Love is solitary even though it joins. The person loved is the being who continues when the person’s own actions and egocentricity have been dissolved. Love recognises a person before the act and the same person after it. It invests this person with a value which is untranslatable into virtue.”
— John Berger, from “Between Two Colmars,” in About Looking (1980).
