im never gonna shut up about how important mahmood is for italian gays cause like, when he won sanremo he was bashed by the alt right (even politicians!) because he was NoT iTaLiAn EnOuGh (which is bullshit and we all know that but hey racism i guess) then people started asking him about his sexuality and even with that pressure on he didnt give a single fuck and delieverd an amazing song with such an emotional video about two boys in love!!

Like, even when people criticised him, he never once thought "mmh maybe i shouldnt do Gay Stuff™ if i wanna keep a career" (which would have been ok btw esp in the state italy is right now) but no!! He performed at milano pride! He posted videos of the nyc pride where they were playing soldi at the 50th anniversary of the stonewall riots! And then he released barrio!!!

I dont know which gay god i have to thank but im so happy im alive as the same time as mahmood thanks for coming to my ted talk
