After all the wait I’m pleased to announce my Sachston fic is out with its first chapter!

Emily never expected that making a call she had attempted twenty years ago, albeit with another try, would be the start of a very surprising yet not unwelcome new twist to her life. That call had signified reconnecting with Andrea, something Emily would probably always doubt if she was deserving of or not.

But one call turned into one lunch and one lunch into Andy messaging her about random things of her day, first once or twice a week and then throughout the seven days of the week. And eventually they started to hang out more regularly for lunches, coffees, brunchs.

One day their lunch breaks didn’t align for them to meet, so Emily suggested that they could have dinner instead.

OR: set after the last events of the movie this follows a year into the relationship. First dates and kisses and introductions. Andy just starts to blend perfectly in the Charlton family.

Good news I wrote more today and here's a snippet!

Ngl I had so much fun writing Emily taking the subway 😂 I didn't have fun searching for NYC subway routes and finding the route for this scene, I changed it like THREE times 🫩

Bad news it's still not near where i want it to finish so I'm not posting it yet 😭😔 though since I'm dividing it in chapters I might be able to post it in the meantime??? choices, choices... 🤔

I spent a lot of time browsing Google maps (I'm a nerd for it, I love Google maps frrr) to write this scene and it made me soooo nostalgic from my time living in nyc three summers ago 😭🤏🏼

So here you'll find along with the snippet the Google maps routes Andy took and as you can see there are my saved and favorites places marked on the map cause I used to plan my days off exploring like this I fucking miss it so much 🥺😔

I don't know what they put in The Devil Wears Prada 2, but ever since I watched it, I physically can't stop thinking about Emily and Andy. It's been years since I was this obsessed with a ship. I think I read most of the works on ao3 and now I need to write my own. They are just so good!!! The chemistry, the history, the tropes, the aesthetics. It's perfect!

Peter's existence and significance to the plot (none) will forever bug me because what do you mean she chose him???

And the way his scenes are connected to Emily's like ughhh... They both say they're divorced, the make-up scene between him and Andy is followed by the same with Emily, him and Andy had an argument and didn't talk until she came back from Milan and reached out first, though hesitant at first. And what was in the first movie? Right, Emily and Andy had an argument and stopped talking. Their final conversation was brief and it was Andy who reached out after returning from Paris. Then the 20 years of Emily being left to wonder, oh come on..

It took them 20 years to properly be friends, but it took Andy what? a week to start dating Peter ughhhhhh don't piss me off
