With how big Greyson’s muscles have become (and with his head currently looking a liiiiiittle bit small for his body), every time I see Greyson taking care of Ash and playing with him, I immediately think of Lenny from Looney Toons :P (tho apparently his real name is Hugo XD)

And look? All of Greyson’s hard work at the gym really paid off! 💪

In fact, Greyson’s already close to completing his Bodybuilder aspiration! He’s already reached his body’s max potential, and now all he needs is to reach level 10 in the Athletic skill!

And more time goes on....

Soon, autumn turned into winter.... Which really, in Oasis Valley, autumn is pretty much identical to summer, and the winters much more resemble your typical autumn. Greyson continued to play as much basketball in his spare time as he could, and he made it on his school’s basketball team!

Ashly continued working hard in school and was a straight A student. Marigold’s fame as an astronaut continued to rise, and Gary was also making a name for himself as a professional gamer in the e-sports world.

While Greyson was happy to have earned a spot on the team, he wasn’t getting as much time on the court as he would’ve liked. He spent plenty of his days after school working out at the local gym, hoping to rid himself of his leftover baby weight and to start building up some actual muscle.

Ted: *finally gets up the nerve and pulls out the ring.* Danielle Darling, would you finally make me the happiest man alive, by allowing me to become your husband?

Dani: Wow, Ted, I- ... I can’t believe you, that all of you, did this just for me....

Piper: Well, we want you to be happy, Mom. And anyone would be blind not to see that Teddy here makes you plenty happy. So go on, answer him already!

Dani: Oh, oh right, jeez, I’m so scatterbrained.... *stares down at Ted, her eyes welling up.* Yes, Ted, of course I’ll marry you!

All 5 of their children cheered behind them as Ted let out a huge sigh of relief at hearing the answer he was hoping for. Without further delay, he slipped the ring onto Danielle’s finger and stood up to give her a big kiss before holding her close.

Prim: Alright, you guys had your cute moment, now let’s get on with the important part before we all freeze to death!

Dani: Wait, that wasn’t the important part?

Eliza: You still gotta get married, silly!

Dani: You mean right now? B-But I’m a total mess!

Peony: Your girls have got’cha covered, Mom, we brought you everything you need for an impromptu wedding makeover. Now c’mon, let’s head into the bathroom and make you into a bride. And you, Ted, you’re not gonna get married in your uniform, right?

Ted: *chuckles* Don’t worry, I’ve got my tux stashed away, I’ll go throw it on right now.

Peony: *claps her hands together* Alright people, let’s put on a wedding!

Here’s a look at Greyson, all grown up! And, for the first time this generation, let’s take a look at everything we need to work on for this leg of the Not So Berry challenge!

Generation 4: Grey

Heir: Greyson Slate Traits: Active, Slob, Happy Toddler, Athletically Gifted, Creatively Gifted Aspiration: Bodybuilder

Goals: - Master Singing, Parenting, and Athletic Skills - Master Athlete career and complete Bodybuilder aspiration - Have three failed relationships before finding spouse, marry a neat sim. - Be good friends with all your children - Have family movie night with your spouse and children every Sunday.

Dani: You guys went to all this trouble for me? But you didn’t have to do that...

Ted: Actually, we did... Well, I did. The kids were gracious enough to lend me a hand, and they each gave me their blessing.

Dani: Their blessing? For what?

Teddy squeezes one of Danielle’s gloved hands, kissing the back of it before taking a deep, nervous breath, as he began reciting the speech that he’d prepared in advance.

Ted: Danielle Darling... Dani... My Dani... I know you opened your heart up to love once, and when things ended the way they did, you vowed to never again let romance come between you and what was most important; your children. I know you weren’t expecting to meet me, or for me to fall in love with you - and neither of us were expecting to have twins as a result-

Dani: *laughs wholeheartedly*

Ted: But I don’t regret a second of it. I wish you hadn’t gotten your heart broken the way you did, but maybe things never would’ve worked out between the two of us if things hadn’t played out that way. And I am so grateful, every single day, to be a part of your life, and to be a part of your family, with all 7 of us under the same roof.

Prim: *pipes up from behind him* 8 of us! Don’t forget Kipper!

Ted: *chuckles* Yes, I stand corrected, the 8 of us. And while we’ve been busy managing the chaos that happens each day under our roof, there’s been something.... Something very important that we keep putting off.

Letting go of Danielle’s hands, Teddy carefully moves down to one knee, reaching into his pocket for something, while Danielle is left standing there with her hands over her lips, too stunned for words.

And Time Goes On...

After a few weeks, that long, hot summer finally began to draw to a close. Ashly prepared herself for her first day of high school, and Greyson took full advantage of the rest of his time off; he worked on levelling up his VoidCritter cards, he worked on his skills, and he earned a few more scout badges!

It felt like no time at all after Ashly’s birthday before Greyson was suddenly ready to age up to a teenager as well!

Prim: Oh, hey Ted!

Piper: ‘bout time you guys got here, we’re all frickin’ freezing!

Dani: Wait, girls? And Eliza and Victor here too? Why are you all dressed up? Peony, what is going on? Shouldn’t you be at that New Year’s Eve party at your friend’s house?

Peony: Heh, well, funny story...

Before Danielle has a chance to get mad at her kids for lying, Ted turns around to face Dani, taking her hands in his as he looks into his eyes.

Ted: Actually, there wasn’t any party. I had my buddy from the precinct pose as their friend’s dad and he dropped them off here so they could get everything set up. It was Peony’s job to call you and ask for both of us to come and get them once everything was ready.

Dani: Hold on, so you mean...

For the first time since they’d arrived, Danielle took a moment to take in their surroundings; Teddy had led the two of them up to a large roofed gazebo, where there were benches facing towards a large white arch decorated in streamers and flowers, and rose petals of deep pinks and reds had been scattered all the way down the aisle and up by the front, where her 5 kids were waiting for her, dressed in their most formal outfits.

Ted: Uh-huh. I wanted to surprise you.

Ashly: You guys, this is so cool! You decorated the entire house just for me?!

Mari: Actually, it was your brother’s idea. He spent all day yesterday making all of your decorations from scratch, and we both got up early to put them up and to finish frosting your cake.

Ashly: Awwwww, thank you Greyson! Your the bestest!

She immediately tackles her younger brother in a big hug, the sight of which warms Marigold’s heart.

Ashly: Where’s dad?

Mari: He had to head into work early today, sweetie, but he wanted me to tell you that he’s sorry and that he’ll be home early tonight to give you your present. Now, are you ready to blow out your birthday candles?

Greyson: *gasps* Does this mean we’re gonna get CAKE for BREAKFAST?!

Mari: *laughs* You can each have one tiiiiiny piece after Ashly blows out her candles, and only if you finish your breakfast first.

Ashly: That works for me!

Ashly hurried ahead of her mother and brother into the kitchen, grinning at the sight of her birthday cake with its vanilla and strawberry-flavoured icing. She waited with barely-contained patience as her mom lit all of the candles on the cake before making her birthday wish and blowing them all out.

Peony: *whispering to her sisters* Oh! Is that them?

Prim: Helloooo, that looks nothing like mom’s car!

Piper: Damn, it’s freezing out here...... How much longer ‘till they get here?!

Peony: He said they’d be coming from this direction, right?

Eliza: *in a less-hushed whisper to their brother.* Will we know it’s them when we see the flashing red and blue lights coming this way?

Victor: Dad’s not gonna bring her in his cop car, stupid!

Eliza: Why not?

Victor: ‘cuz he wasn’t working today! Duh!

Eliza: Oh, right.... I forgot...

Just then, a booming voice came from behind all of them, startling all 5 of them.

Ted: Hey, lookouts! You’re lookin’ the wrong way!

Ted: Remind me again why I had to put on my uniform just to pick the girls up?

Dani: Because you’re a police officer! Maybe the crazy party-goers will see you walk up to the house and disband the whole party.

Ted: I’m not sure one lone police officer would have the same effect as a couple of squad cars worth of shields, sweetie.

Dani: Well, you never know, right? *glances down at her phone as Ted parks the car in front of what looks like an empty park.* Wait, Ted, are you sure this is the right place?

Ted: Yep, this is where we need to be!

Dani glanced out her window, still confused before Ted walked around to open up her car door and gallantly help her step onto the slippery sidewalk before they moved towards the entrance to the park.

Ashly lumbered down the stairs with a big yawn. After reopening her eyes partway down the stairs, she noticed that the entire main floor was covered in all kinds of colourful paper decorations. There were flowers and banners and cards and even paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

Mari & Greyson: *in unison* HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ASHLY!

Dani: ..... I’m worried about the girls.

Ted: *yawns, stretching his arms before returning them to his lap.* Afraid you’ll have to be more specific, there’s 4 of ‘em living here, not including yourself, my lovely lady.

Dani: Ted, seriously, I’m worried about the triplets, out at some high school party on New Year’s Eve.... They said there would be parents there, but what if that’s not true? What if there’s drinking? Or drugs? Or what if someone-

Ted: Dani, Dani, listen.... You can relax, okay sweetheart? You raised 3 level-headed, responsible teenage girls, and they’re not the type to get involved in any sort of shenanigans behind your back. And, worst-case scenario, something did happen at this party, they know that they can just call and-

At that exact moment, Danielle feels her cell phone vibrating in her pocket. She pulls it out and reads the caller ID quickly before swiping up on the screen to answer.

Dani: Peony, sweetheart, is everything okay?

Peony: Um.... No, not really.... Can you guys come pick us up?

Dani: Tell me what happened, is everyone alright? Did someone get hurt?

Peony: No mom, we’re all fine. This party’s just getting a little too out of control, and we think we should come home before it gets any worse.

Dani: You’re a smart girl, Peony; all of you are. Ted and I will be there as soon as we can, I’m just going to warm the car up and Ted’s going to throw on his uniform.

Ted: Wait, I am?

Peony: Thanks mom! I’ll text you the address, ‘kay? See you soon.

Dani: Okay, call me again if anything else happens before we get there!

The Next Morning......

Mari: *from the bottom of the stairs.* Ashly! C’mon sweetheart, time to get up! Your breakfast is getting cold!

Ashly mumbles something unintelligible in her sleep before pulling herself out of bed with a groan, standing up and stretching before turning to remake her bed. With that task completed, she looks up and finally notices the construction-paper creation stuck to her wall.

Ashly: .... What the...?
