this phone came about at a time when smartphones were starting to really take off, but hadn't quite fully replaced mp3 players yet.

as such, nokia thought the best idea would be to kill off 2 birds with one stone and released a tft touchscreen phone that was also marketed as an mp3 player, kind of like an ipod touch except cheaper
