i enjoy the idea of a v.arka who only shows his soft side to fl.ins
v.arka crawling into bed, the frame creaking dangerously as he nuzzles into f.lins arms.
var.ka doesn't feel the need to sleep like he usually does, sitting upright against the headboard and holding his greatsword to his chest, instead he embraces fli.ns freely, even daring to expose his unarmored chest and belly.
and fl.ins does things all of va.rka's previous partners never cared to do, as they assumed var.ka's stature meant that he was exclusively a dominant man.
var.ka melts into fli.ns hands when fli.ns takes his sharp, squared chin and scratches the underside of it, trimmed fingernails against stubble. i love the idea of var.ka manhandling fli.ns, but after he throws fli.ns onto the bed, all var.ka wants is to have fingers carding through his hair and the pressure of fli.ns rubbing and kneading var.ka's active and overfull tummy, working out the air until it only groans lowly and comfortably in steady digestion.
var.ka finds it interesting and welcome when fli.ns pinches his sides and grips his love handles, or squeezes the bit of chub near his v-line. it scratches an itch in var.ka, he'd been touch-starved and forced to take the lead in every previous relationship, never receiving this level of pampering.

with other people, he’s quick to dismiss the uncomfortable feeling of food and liquor settling into his belly. he’ll be fine, he reassures. he’s the grandmaster! but he doesn’t even dare attempt that with f.lins, not just because the fae would see straight through it, but because he enjoys the Iightkeepers attention and comfort deeply
same with early mornings where he struggles to get dressed. his armor and its many layers were made a little too form fitting, so the bloating and little weight he’s gained with f.lins makes the endeavor of suiting up take longer than it needs to be. but f.lins is always happy to help.

putting on armour in the morning proves to be a little more difficult when var.ka's partner keeps squeezing his love handles from behind... eventually he falls back into bed with fli.ns, flushed red and skin hot from his face down to his belly from a massage that takes care of var.ka's alcohol bloating from the night before. when they get to the meeting everyone assumes they've done it, but it was actually probably the most innocent thing var.ka has done with one of his partners, but it's got him the most aroused (in a different sort of way) than anything previously.
i also like the idea of fli.ns using va.rka as a subject of some kind. since fli.ns doesn't eat human food, he likes to observe var.ka after feeding him or after he eats/drinks a lot. and since fli.ns seems a bit thinner, he likes squeezing var.ka's thick biceps,
fortunately for var.ka, he's so starved for touch that everything arouses him. just from having his body massaged by fli.ns, with no ounce of flirtation, only genuine curiosity, can turn var.ka into a panting, drooling puppy. he's obedient to fli.ns when he becomes like this, giving in to requests at the promise of more stimulating touches.
a bit of eructo headcanon below..
var.ka will have these deep, long, sickly sort of burps when he first climbs into bed with fli.ns, from so much alcohol carbonation and food trapping a lot of air. when fli.ns asks for a description of the sensation, var.ka is embarrassed at first, but reluctantly admits it feels better to expel the air. fli.ns doesn't mind helping with that.
fli.ns finds that var.ka enjoys more pressure on his stomach than the average person (understandable, when he's almost twice the size, and more than twice the weight of one). fli.ns has to knead through a scarce layer of fat, then thick muscle to make enough of an impact and coax any disruptive air out.
fli.ns cooes when var.ka lets out another rumbling belch into his fist, and var.ka melts every time, because fli.ns responds to var.ka's embarrassment by petting his head and rubbing var.ka's taut upper belly, giving it a few pats for encouragement.
fli.ns finds satisfaction in hearing var.ka's belches go from deep, lengthy and gurgling, to short, shallow and satisfied ones, because it signifies that most of the pain and discomfort has subsided, and only the air kicked up from slow, steady digestion remains. it's endearing to watch var.ka turn away to burp and hiccup every so often as his skin burns hot, so as not to disturb fli.ns. fli.ns isn't sleeping anytime soon, with the spectacle in his arms (and var.ka's plush sides to pinch between his fingers).

i have a few thoughts about him :)
ever since he joined the ast.ral exp.ress, he's gained a bit of weight which is be extremely embarrassed about. he often sucks in his stomach, on a daily basis even underneath his looser clothing. he's also gained a little muscle all around, to keep up with the ast.ral exp.ress' fast-paced adventures and battles.
when he's asleep, he forgoes sucking in his tummy. the healthy weight he's gained becomes a little more prominent when sleeping on his side. his pyjama pants cling to his toned yet soft thighs and bottom, and his shirt rides up to his waist from his plump lower-belly, it's very cute :)
overall, he's healthier and stronger now. in the past, working in the dreamscape led to him becoming underweight, with the little fat on his body accentuated by his lack of muscle. (he used to have his ribs showing, with a bit of loose skin due to the lack of muscle.)
personally, i think he would retain the habit of eating for the sake of nutrition. his taste in savoury food during normal meals is quite bland, food with too much flavour aren't to his tastes.
as practical and efficient as he is with his meals, he's never denied himself dessert, which sometimes gets out of hand. a sweet treat always reminds him of the delicacies his sister would deliver to his office, and he occasionally tears up between bites of a slice decadent cake or a tart with a rich, fruity filling. (he probably eats sweets when stressed, too. i'd like to think he has candy on him when he's adventuring with the ast.ral exp.ress.)

i think he hiccups more often, as a result of trying to stifle his burps. he also doesn't burp often, and finds it difficult to expel air, it usually becomes trapped and painful
he enjoys it when trai.lbla.zer rubs his tummy gently, squeezing his sides instead if he's too sensitive, and su.nday burps softly with his mouth closed, face covered by his wings as it burns hot with embarrassment.
we just made it so all your favorite guy’s loved ones have clued into the fact he has a terribly inconsistent eating schedule all at the same time. and of course they will be personally ensuring he eats 3 square meals a day, completely independently of each other, and not quite believing the fact that he’s already eaten a few meals too many for the day because everyone else is just as keen on feeding him
tea-party enjoying partners who seem to live to feed him many, many little cakes and fill his tummy with the finest teas
convict bf who is eager to show his love through cooking the heartiest of meals
duelist gf who regularly forces him back onto the surface when the opportunity provides itself, to enjoy the local cuisine and to give him delicious chocolates
magician bf whose favorite trick is making extra servings disappear by putting them on the dukes plate instead
