Glitch Academy - „Advanced Digital Marketing“ workshop
I've performed my first workshop with few of the locals called “Advanced Digital Marketing“
Participants learned about:
Differences between Traditional and Digital marketing.
Why are people going online?
Benefits of digital marketing
Digital marketing objectives
Evolution of Digital marketing
And in details, advantages and disadvantages of the following topics:
Organic Marketing – (Websites, Direct Traffic, SEO, Social Media, Inbound Marketing, Email Marketing
Paid Marketing – (Pay Per Click, Display Ads, Video Ads, Social Media, Email Marketing)
Reporting – (ORM, Analytics)
Mobile Marketing – (Mobile Apps, Ads in Mobiles)
Also - Basic strategies of the topics and what are their carrier opportunities
After the presentation they had a task to deal with, as following:
Create a company and use digital marketing strategies to promote your business.
• Create your company (name, purpose, etc.)
• Create design ( business cards, flyers, banners(PPC), etc.)
• Build a website (how its going to look like, what type of content, etc.)
• How you will promote your website (social media, applications, email marketing etc. )
• Target your audience
• Calculate ROI (1 ad in google is 1$,1 ad in Facebook is 0.5$)
They did all of the tasks and came up with an idea of making a website, who will allow students to share their content about student materials ( reports, essays, lections, presentations, etc.)
The idea is possible to be finished in 2 months, so I gave them this as a deadline to complete the project. They’ve already made a Facebook group to share their working materials and ideas only in it.
Next step will be setting the roles of who of the guys is doing what, also the back-end (physics of the website), installing WordPress and Buddy Press engine, also will think about front-end (design) of the page.
