Funny thing about climbing a fourteener is, well the way you walk around the next day. I was so undeniably sore that yes, it probably looked like I had something shoved up my ass, but that still does not give me any regrets. I would do it again if I could move my legs, really I would. But I think I will wait just one more year before I take on the rocks of the mountain again.

Its all about the summit fever. That is what your real fuel on the mountain is. Not the stale power bars and the hotel tap water that is splashing around in your canteen. Its the feel of the rocks on your feet and the arching look of the summit that for some reason, just makes you want to stand up there.

That and the need for adventure. You see you never know what you are getting yourself into on a hike. this particular hike felt like a quest. Almost like I was part of some kind of monty python movie. Its like you keep on running into these relics, and you swear they mean something, but they just sit there, still and quiet as you pass.

And as you hike your knees start to ache, you have weights lined up in between your back bone, your eye lids seem to be more and more attracted to the rock beneath your feet and before you know it, you still have half way to go.

The most amazing part of this Hike was the sheer terrain that we were required to cross.

But it seriously all was worth it to get to the top, which actually happened to be very calm that day.

I MET DONALD LAST NIGHT

so yes, I met the man, the myth, the freaking legend and one of my biggest idles last night. I went to the IAMDONALD tour at the Music Box in Hollywood and waited for two hours after the set to see the guy. It was a great decision, because I literally left a changed man.

He was a really nice guy, especially for going all out on that stage for about 2 hours strait (He must have been tired as shit). After waiting so long after the show, there were only a few stragglers that remained (The true fans) and by the time he actually popped out of the back door, all of our minds literally went blank. My buddy Mikey kind of just walked up, said, "Hi, I'm Mikey", posed and I took a picture haha he was like a robot. We literally had no Idea what to say.

This is the whole crew, all bunched up around the guy like he is made of liquid gold or something. I literally was thinkin, "Be cool man, you're cool, don't worry about it, chill", and I still managed to look like a 4 year old meeting donald duck. fuck.

We did get to talk to him a little bit but even though alot of the fans had left there was still quite a few people there, so the only piece of advice we got was, "I know what you all do, you sit on your couch stoned all day, don't do that. Get out there and film something. Its all it takes." Which, in a sense is true, and I took it to heart

This is Meg and Adrienne while we waited for him to come out, you can see the excitement in their eyes.

I guess it was just funny seeing him, because it really put everything into perspective. If you want to be great you really gotta apply yourself and do the stuff that is important. Your not gonna go anywhere by sitting around all day, stumbling/facebook stalking/jacking off of whatever the eff it is you do. gotta get out there.

so on that note, imma stop blogging (Fuckin hypocrite) and imma do something with my life.

1. Denver has the largest park system in the whole nation with 205 parks in city limits and 20,000 acres of parks in the mountains

2. There are giant ass mountains there.... and they are beautiful

3. Denver has more micro pubs than anywhere in the world

4. Pretty Lights is from Colorado

5. People are CHILL

6. Skiing and snowboarding is everywhere... literally

7. There are dinosaur bones in the side of mountains that you can touch

8. You can still pan for gold in colorado

9. Its 100 degrees in the summer and -20 degrees in the winter

10. Chipotle and noodles started in Colorado

Ok so, thanks to my boy Dan Fromhart, this song has been ruling the vibes of my day. You are a tourist which is Death Cab for Cutie's newest single is just so good. Just perfect. It starts perfectly, the guitar melody that comes in after the bass kicks is just such a swingin tune, and it just cheers me up almost immediately. I can't get over it. Literally I can play it over and over and over again and I hope you can too. Death cab has been one of my favorites since their earliest days. I remember in 2007 listening to Soul Meets Body all day, every day, and I am pretty sure I am going to do that with this song as well. Thank you Death Cab for remaining the same and never changing, because your sound is just awesome. Look for their new album coming out soon

Heyo everyone, sorry I have been absent lately. Been a really busy past couple of weekends. It has been Coachella ---> Texas ---> lake house ---> oh what I have school work to do? Yes... yes I did, but I got it done and Now there is merely only two weeks left untill I get to smell that clean and crisp colorado air. Cannot wait. Anyways, imma go ahead and post this song with my summer in mind. Colorado by Lotus is going to be my summer song this year, it is going to reflect every memory and every turn I take. Just listen to it, relax and feel the summer breeze (haha reminds me of How I met your Mother).
