Can you rant about your Astrayed!au? I don't have any asks in particular, I just wanna hear more bout it :]
Sure, why don't I give the basic of who is with whom. :) Maybe the prologue?
So after the turtles were mutated along with Lou Jutso. There was, of course, a big fight with Barum Draxum. Lou Jutso was having a difficult time trying to escape with all the turtles and unfortunately it led to a large explosion of Draxum Lab. Now he was able to grab Mikey for sure, but he lost the other three in the scuffle.
After the explosion and Lou Jutso escaped. Draxum had to start rebuilding his lab and was working on cleaning out the ruble. It wasn't till after he removed some of the debris that he accidentally found little Donnie huddle into corner fairly close to the draining pipe. But it looks like the rubble around him kept him from slipping in. Draxum could only assume that his other creations must have slipped into the pipe. He would have to search for them later. For now he still has SS-3 and picked up Donnie and placed him in the care of the gargoyles for now.
Leo and Raph in their wandering around as the fight was going on did accidentally slip into a chemical draining pipe that led outside of the lab and into the yokai streets. Particularly by an alleyway close to Big mamas hotel. They most likely would have starved if it wasn't for a certain fox servant who was out buying some goodies for big mama and who happened to hear soft crying. He found the two and brought them back to the hotel to show them off to the other work mates and how adorable they are. Big mama gets curious why her workers are all huddled around and checks out the commotion. She instantly falls in love with the two "turtley-boos" and decides to take them in and have her workers help raise them. Though she takes them in more like pets then actually children of her own.
So as each turtle is raised by their individual parent. Neither of them know of the others existence. Mikey is lovingly raised by splinter, Donnie is raised by Draxum in a son/apprentice way. And Raph and Leo are raised together mostly by big mama staff, but are given a bit of affection by big mama till she sees some "talent" between the two.
No I will say splinter does try to find the others once Mikey is a little bigger to be left alone for a bit. But finds out it is nearly impossible to retrieve them from their new guardian, especially when he sees they are being taken care of in some way. He just doesn't want to rip them away from their parents at the age he found them. So his original plan is to return to watch and look over them from afar and eventually pull them out when he senses trouble. Hence the reason for the journal to track their progress. But once splinter finds out about the foot clans return. The plan ultimately is dropped in favor of training and fully supporting Mikey. No more sneaky father, it hurts, but for Mikey. It needs to be done.
