They are greatly misunderstood by pony civilization at large. - Earth ponies have an affinity for nature and some ponies have the ability to speak to/understand animals while others have the ability to control plants and earth.

Crystal Unicorn w/ Draconic ancestry - Crystal unicorns, the unicorn subset of the Greater "Crystal Ponies" went into hiding as they were hunted by other ponies for their magical healing properties. They have recently come out of hiding during the last two decades with the reemergence of their kingdom and the NEW Crystal Princess "Cadence". - Dragons dont have much care for pony magic, but due to their overlap in the hidden Crystal pony settlements, some did mix with the Crystal pony population.

Full bred Pegasus - There are some Pegasus families that take their lineage VERY seriously, and seek to make even faster, stronger children. Rainbow Dash is from a "legacy family", from which they had the original pony to complete the "rainboom". Rainbow Dash is the first in CENTURIES to successfully complete the rainboom. - Pegasi have to have A LOT of magic to complete a rainboom, and thus Rainbow Dash is an extremely powerful magic user, but without any way to conduct said magic, this leads to a lot of accidents and misfires.

Earth pony / Cow - Apart of a long line of Apple Farmer - Mother was a cow, father was a working horse. It was a forbidden love, between pear and apple. - Hard working and family orientated. She struggles to have hobbies outside of her family and work, most of her life lacking friends.

Earth pony / Cow w/ Pegasus and Yak ancestry - Related to Applejack via Aj's mothers side. - Her family sadly denies their Yak ancestry. They have a rock farm and are conservative (She loves her family, but tends to clash with them) - She has CHAOS MAGIC, who gifted this to her or how she got this magic is unknown. Perhaps a reincarnation of an old god???

Hanasei have a hard keratin helmet on their heads, where horns sprout out of — also called the crown region. The crown develops as early as 1 month into the larval stage, but horns only start sprouting 4 years into their child stage. The growth plateaus around the mid 20s, and horns only grow once.

If a horn breaks mid-growing, there are a few outcomes: Growth can presume as usual, though lagging behind the normal horn, resulting in a "dwarf horn". The horn may also off shoot in different directions, depending on how it was broken. Finally, the rarest outcome is a different style of horn sprouting from the stump — often a result from a gene dominance flicking on/off.

Their horns were used in fights for dominance and to showcase health and fitness. Nowadays, their horns are rarely used outside of fighting tournaments. In fact, most view it as a canvas for personal and artistic expression — carvings, shavings and even cutting them off and replacing with caps or different models (often made with clay, but metals and synthetic keratin are also popular) being common modifications.
