One afternoon, a few weeks before the end of quarantine (when the vaccine is being distributed and the world is slowly opening up again) you are going to go downtown and wander around. There will be chalk on the sidewalk, and dogs in the park (there have always been dogs in the park, but now you notice).

You will find a little Cuban cafe, just a little hole in the wall really, and order a lunch special to go. The woman at the counter will smile at you from behind her mask; you will know from the thick, happy crinkles around her eyes.

You will carry your styrofoam container and your plastic utensils outside, to a little metal table that wobbles just slightly when you sit. There is a bus stop a few yards away, where a few tentative passengers wait. One is a child with a bright yellow backpack, and purple elastics in her braids. She bounces on the back of her heels.

The fried plantains on your plate will be sweet and rich, and the mango salsa will be ripe and hot. The trees will have leaves on them, and passengers will board their bus—and you will sit in the sun, and eat your food, and you will understand that life will always have moments like these, come what may.

My mom has been missing since monday, it’s saturday now and she was last seen wearing a black shirt and leggings before leaving to work in the downtown area. if you see her pls pls pls pls let me know asap on here or my twitter lovewishs. Her name is josefina zavala, she responds to josie too and her hair is dark brown like the last two photos and shes 4″11 and has an alcohol addiciton so she could be under the influence. All I want is her safety and I know her being drunk out in the streets is extremely concerning especially as a woman being alone. pls pls pls pls pls im begging you all to spread the word as much as u can and if you live in the area please keep an eye out if you see her and report her whereabouts to me or the police.

Okay so I just got off the phone with them. I talked to a trans girl named Aurora & she was super helpful! She gave me a few doctors to talk to & encouraged me to seek therapy instead of just rushing to get my pills. She literally found a trans friendly therapist in my town & I would definitely recommend giving them a call!
