Also, if you hadn't known already, I now have an OOC blog that I update regularly (or at least much more frequently) that's gingerpro. So you can follow me there to see what I'm doing in my art classes and such or to talk to me plain and simple. This blog will still be up with all of its posts for awhile- but I've already gone and reblogged everything to the new blog. So nothing will be lost, and I think in a couple of days I'll say good-bye to the old blog once I've reblogged this a few times to be super obnoxious. (Pro-tip: Unfollow the old blog once you've followed the new one to avoid Maddy and her obnoxious reblogging.) It'd also really help me out if you guys could reblog this to help spread it around!

((Hey, I'm alive!))
((So I haven't been active in, like... a really freaking long time. But. The good news is I'm alive! I'm making this post on my phone, on the bus on the way to school, so you probably won't see much from me IMMEDIATELY but I'd like to get back to Fanpro. Trouble is I'm taking like four art classes this semester and I'm expecting it to progressively grow into some sort of twisted concoction of pain and pleasure that takes up a lot of my time. HOWEVER, I hear you guys like art stuff, so I think I'll go make a couple of new blogs/side-blogs so you guys can talk with me and keep up with me OOC. I'll go post crappy phone pictures of the stuff I did for class as well as the stuff I'm doing in my free time and stuff. This doesn't mean I'm ditching Lumie by the way! When I've got the time I'd love to get back to answering the asks they've built up! Sorry about being gone for so long! This is always such a great community though and I'm glad to come back! :D ))

Once upon a time,
A long… long… time ago…
There was a star that was shimmering and shaking—at least, that’s what it would appear to be if viewed from a lens like that of a telescope. The star was dancing, and gallantly so! It burned through the dark of space, swinging and sifting with such artistic grace that even the heavens couldn’t look away.
It danced and danced so much, that where ever it skipped, parts of it would drift away. They sparkled with great joy, those little bits did, and created homes for themselves to light up the dark. The dancing star left its blessings where ever it went throughout the All.
But as it left its gifts the dancing star started becoming smaller and smaller at a rapid rate… Surely, if it continued to dance any further, it would dance itself to nothing. Yet it continued.
It shimmered and shook, and swung and sifted, all the while depleting itself of its vitality and grace. When the star finally could dance no further, for it lacked the energy, it slowed its dance towards a near by gift of its own design from earlier in its dance. It laid down itself on the atmosphere as though it were a pillow—preparing its final gift and sacrifice.
Slowly the star got eaten away by the particles of the atmosphere as it sank into its bed, but like sand within an oyster, it eventually produced a pearl. The star’s little pearl descended slowly into the night, curled tightly around itself in its slumber.
It cried a bit—knowing that its mother had died for its life—but only long enough to produce two streaks down each cheek that glowed like star light. Its tulip lips then curled into a childlike smile. It realized it was but one of a whole that had been blessed in the All. The dancing star exists within everything and everyone—it exists in All.
The last gift felt its feet touch the earth as it reached the end of its descent. Getting on its tip toes, it kisses the last of the dancing star goodbye before it vanished into the air. The star had passed its torch, now it was its gift’s duty to dance and protect the All.

The sound resonated in Lumie's ears, and echoed within him for miles without end. There were no walls for the sound to bounce away from; it simply continued to exist as it traveled onward.
Pa-dmp, pa-dmp, pa-dmp...
His leather gloves growled in protest as his fingers curled tighter around his bow. Tulip lips were held high, wide eyes blinked slowly.
Pa-dmp.
A steady,
Pa-dmp.
beating,
Pa-dmp.
heart.
Lumie saw this heart beat and leeched it into his skin-- making it glow. Within the darkest black, he became the brightest of stars traversing at a steady pace.
Pa-dmp, pa-dmp, pa-dmp...
Though ever so hard to hear in a space where sound cannot travel-- his foot-steps continued to light the sky with a steady beat.

Humidity is the worst (word prompts)
"Oh, this is aweful!" bellowed a large, burly creature. He stood perhaps seven or so feet tall, with matted fur and striped horns-- Lumexie had come to call this one horned one, but now it seemed to her that perhaps sweating one would be more fitting. "What is the matter horned one?" She said in her light, singing tone, stopping her pace in the warm muddy earth that was slowly-- but surely-- consuming her boots.
"What's the matter?" He repeated in a baffled tone. "Doesn't it bother you at all?" His furry face was contorted into a knot, all scrunched around his large grassy nose. His nose wouldn't normally be growing so wild-- back in the snowylands where he lives it would be merely a rock in fact.
"What doesn't bother this one?"
"This blasted humidity! That's what!" He huffs with a toss of his large arms, cutting the air with his claws-- and then quickly flinching back when he nearly cut into a local exotic bird. He then paused before rolling his head back down to look at his four foot tall friend.
"Wait... It really doesn't bother you?"
She shook her head under her large floppy hat. "This one doesn't mind humidity."
He huffed and began walking through the heated, sopping earth again. "Of course not. Humidity is the worst."
It's drizzling outside (word prompts)
Lumexia sat within the base of a great, ashen tree, gloved fingers laced around her knees as she watched fluid gently coat the earth. The thin layer of fog coated her plush skin and gave her a faint prickling sensation as she welcomed the cold air. In the dull darkness, her streaks and lips began to glow-- and so she presented a glowing smile.
