Jeez- I should definitely make a character sheet for him. For now I'll just tell ya the basics
《Name》 Yoshikazu Jihatsu (Yoshi for short)
《Affiliation》 First year student in Class 1-A
《Quirk》 Heat manipulation: Gives the user the ability to manipulate anything hot. Living organisms are the only exception (for now). The control he has over said hot item is stronger the hotter it is, so anything above boiling point is a reliable source! Charcoal, boiling water, fire, me ;), etc. Unfortunately more powerful substances aren't easy to find in a school environment (like, volcanoes) which is a bummer.
TLDR; Yoshi basically has pyrokenesis... but with more options.
However, due to an unfortunate condition known as U.Q.S, Yoshi's quirk is partly defective. He can't supply his own fire on command, and is prone to spontaneously combusting, which almost always seems to happen at the wrong time. As a result, he doesn't rely on his own flames. They're more of a nuisance in his opinion, so until they decide to pop up, he's going to heavily depend on others.
Cold. The trade off for being able to handle extremely high temperatures is Yoshi's base body temp, which takes a lot more heat to maintain. Unlike other previous fire types (such as Endeavor), Yoshi hasn't reached his tipping point yet, so his primary concern is getting frost bite in 50° weather.
I forgot to mention he's apart of the second generation of Heroes. In my AU, Bakugo and Deku teach the future Class 1-A and 1-B (I love them too much okay), which is why his quirk may seem a bit powerful. He is not apart of the current canon timeline! Quirk singularity is a big plot point in this universe, so the students are going to seem a bit stronger due to the evolution of quirks.
