Watsuki and the scandal
First I apologize you all for not being active lately, Uni, work and personal stuff left almost no time for my Tumblr. Secondly, I heard the recent news regarding watsuki.
Shocked and deeply disappointed at least is what I feel, probably like most of you. Strangely enough, It came to my mind that it makes some sense. Some clues were already seen regarding this disgusting behaviour. For example one of the music of the intros ( I think is actually the music of the very first intro) the lyrics in japanese resembles a first sexual experience of a young girl with an older man! (if someone can confirm this, I would appreciate)
Even if the lyrics were not made by Him, at least He chose/approved. This “signs” were really out of context, but for sure no one would even imagine this would be something that Watsuki was hiding. After this, I feel all my 21 years of dedication, adoration and deep considerations about Watsuki were a bunch of wasted time. I feel sick just imagining some of the profits and money from the RK were used for proliferating this unacceptable behaviour of this subhuman (who knows, maybe more darker things could come up to the public in the upcoming weeks). He have not even shown any feeling or respect, ( YES, RESPECT!) regarding the huge community of fans( back then child) that He helped to fill they heart with good thoughts (and inspiration for many)
A mind that created one of the most brilliant stories of anime/manga cannot in any circumstance, promote (actively or passively) the exact opposite values He has defended and helped to create.
And now many questions will be raised... Memories, attachment to RK values and characters, feelings, enjoyment, how we can handle that the creator was, in fact, some a perverted mind full of dark feelings? all the reputation of credibility of the anime is now in doubt? Have we supported indirectly child pornography by giving him money, consuming the anime merchandising? And what about the anime that we considered pure and full of nostalgic values, are we going to look at them in the same way? Like in so many other things in life, we are the ones who will lose, in one way or another. Losing values and memories, but also future developments in RK sequel, new mangas, and so much more... After this, I guess all we need to is reflecting on this situation and with accordance with our values decide if we should not continue to be associated to an anime created by a child pornography pervert or in another hand, still supporting the anime and all its related content and subtract this creature, erasing all the bad image and damage He left at RK and RK community fans. I will decide in the next weeks.
