So busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to do this. Happy Father's Day to the greatest man in the world, my father. Reflecting yesterday I noticed you did me right. I'm you for the family now. I looked at my kids with my cousins and it hit me that when I was their age, you were me. Doing the same things I'm doing for the family now. Your life lessons, late night talks I used to call preaching all paid off back when I was merely 10 years old and growing into a teenager. You made me wise beyond my years without me evening knowing it then. Well I know it now. The stroke took your conversational skills away a few years ago but your voice rings. I get it. I know what you want to say to me when I need it the most. Your message to all your sons that came through Oleander has been "Be a better man than I ever was" and I get why you said that. You knew you were great and telling us to be better ensured we would be excellent men for our families and friends. You've set a standard like no other & I thank you for it. You're my super hero. You're my role model. You're my best friend. But most importantly, You're My Father...
