just some modeling practice :-)
a collection of things i wrote about color. these aren’t necessarily “tutorials", just things i’ve discovered that work for me and might help others. i’m still learning.
all my smrpg paintings from a while ago
and some of my favorite kirby paintings from this year (i did so many that it was hard to narrow down…)
just passing through.
advent of the deliverer
Fairy~ fairy~!
animation run cycle notes for my upcoming 2D animation video course package
Now the dirt, and the dust, and the danger is my new home!

I feel like someone in japan in the 1980s perfectly predicted the kind of thing tumblr would love in 2018
things i did that forced me to be a better artist:
used a reference for everything
thinner line art (you think thats thin? go thinner….)
sketch, then do a cleaner sketch, THEN start finalizing
THUMBNAILS
color research, picking a set palette or light/dark for each work
you like that pose? redo it one more time
USE A DAMN REFERENCE
do not rely on stylization as an excuse for anatomy
draw the goddamn background you coward
just draw the hand- a bad hand is better than a hidden hand
the rule of thirds WORKS
take a considerable break between sketch and lines/paint
know that art takes longer as you get better at it
draw the seams on clothes
stop aiming for accuracy and focus on fluidity and motion, accuracy will come with practice of those two concepts
just…do the chiaroscuro. just DO IT. no excuses it always works
stop making excuses, make yourself an art schedule/set weekly(or daily) art goals and just DO IT.
“draw the goddamn background you coward“
A mockup for an rpg game i wanna make someday.. i havent figured out much except for this short demo. probably not gonna finish so… here it is.

Hello! This is my commission chart! A bit ago my computer died on me and I really need to save money for a new one for college. Thats why I decided to open commissions for the first time! Feel free to contact me with any questions you have about anything. And even if you can’t buy anything here, I would still appreciate any support by either reblogging and sharing this post or talking to me with any advice or help. Thank you very much!
              Rules:
All prices are in USD!Â
If you want OCs (or a fandom that i don’t know), please do detailed description of them along with a picture reference.
I’ll decline your commission if I am uncomfortable with it.
Paypal only.
If you are interested, please dm me on tumblr.Â
I will draw: Fan art, Ocs, shipping art, furry, mecha (simplified), etc.
I won’t draw: Ask me, but I may decline if you want fetish art.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget, even if you are not intrested in buying, you can support me reblogging this post.
Help a cutie out!
Working as a revisionist on OK K.O.!: Let’s be Heroes has been a really interesting experience, and I wanted to take a bit of time to explain what my role has been since it feels somewhat unique even among other CN productions.Â
The role of a revisionist is typically a final layer of polish to the finished storyboards by addressing situational changes like making sure characters are on model, correcting staging/screen direction, drawing in backgrounds, adding additional breakdown poses and doing whatever we can to translate the boards in the clearest way for next stage of the pipeline (animation & design). The storyboard supervisor, Jeremy Polgar (http://jpolgar1.tumblr.com/), will usually go through each episode adding pink notes that Anna Craig (http://killapede.tumblr.com/) and myself will divide between ourselves and spend the next week addressing. Because the board artists are so talented, and because Ian and Toby embrace the rough edges and inconsistencies of animation, the demand for meticulous revision work isn’t as high and occasionally leaves us opportunities to push the action/animation in the show.
from 2012. Reuploading since I (accidentally) deleted my former blog, this one is slightly higher quality.
