He should have known better than to pursue the honey this spider had offered to him, but Jesse McCree would be the first to admit that he wasn’t a smart man when it came to using his ‘brain’ in certain situations. 

Had he known that their little excursions would have the gunslinger beginning to catch feelings towards the emotionless sniper, he would’ve simply put a bullet in her when he had the chance and moved on. Hindsight is only 20/20 after all. 

He was going to tell her about this disgusting predicament that he found himself in before she cut him off, and he decided that it was for the best. Instead, his lips curved into a mischievous grin as he rolled over on top of her once more and captured her lips with a rough kiss while he swallowed back any of the emotional bile that was trapped in his throat. He decided that he would simply keep this as it was, nothing but a fling that will have its end soon.
