i wanted to try painting backgrounds & landscapes again so naturally i had to reference my favorite game

i take forever to finish art challenges (IF i finish them) but here's my ToonMe a bit late ♡

after doing so many portraits of my loved ones, i decided i wanted to do one of myself 💁🏻‍♀️ a homage to my fairy queen days as a child and the flowers that hold the greatest nostalgic value for me.

lilacs for the lilac bushes outside our kitchen window that scented the whole house on warm spring days. violets for the ones that grew on the hills in our yard that i loved to roll around in. honeysuckle for the huge bushes i'd run through in the woods behind my house. and sunflowers for the boquet little me received from a family friend when i cried for her leaving town again and begged her to stay. dearest places in my childhood heart 🌻🌸🌱✨
