ok im gonna be rambling since its 4 am but ,,, i wanna talk about how and why i think mxy wont survive a “healthy relationship” because he is legit toxic af
like, hypothetically, even if he’s in a relationship — lets say w/ kara — and like,, he’d actually manage to convince her to marry him and stuff , it’d be like ???? weird ???
not just because its forced, because kara would’ve been super fucking independent at least to make sure that the marriage would MOSTLY benefit them in a sense that mxy would commit, as a part of his agreement of marriage, to like, help out and use his powers for good
and mxy would. would like??? sooner or later, he’d... know, u know? that. that kara’s sorta like, using him?? and that would probs fuck him up because he probs live in an illusion that “marriage means he’s not lonely anymore” but tbh emotionally he still is
and like, even if , BY SOME REALLY WEIRD FUCKED UP SHIT, mxy manages to get on sexually w/ kara, it’d be . . . . it’d be devastating because mxy would end up ??? being so disgusted??? because i think by then he’d DEFINITELY know there is nothing there emotionally ??? AND ITS LIKE,,, an alarm going off in his head??? just screaming “THIS IS WRONG THIS IS NOT LOVE HE IS STILL ALONE”
which made me think like. like whats wrong with mxy . why can’t he be normal and shit. and like,, maybe it just traced back to my interpretation of him like how he refused to remember his wife’s death and shizz ??
like, he didn’t face it. he didn’t confront his own grief properly and that?? probably held him back ?? from functioning properly ??
BUT ALSO , MY BRAIN MADE ME THINK,,, how and why would it even worked for mxy and gsptlnz in the first place ??? what’s so different about mxy then ——— cause tbh there isn’t a lot of difference in terms of god-complex issues, narcissism and the fact he’s probs still a little entitled
and ,,, um ok. but maybe ?? like before?? my conclusion is that — mxy isn’t like, haunted by loneliness ? like. he’s a pretty lonely guy, growing up, i’d imagine, considering my headcanon that he was abandoned and fostered a lot and ended up joining a fifth dimensional circus / theatre group
but maybe. it’s not — obvious ? like. mxy could ,,, cope with it ? so i think, when he met gsptlnz, he wasn’t like, ALL OVER gsp to want him ? because,, he was probs still getting used to gsp actually wanting him back and ?? wow,, LOVING him ???
so he wasn’t really, u know. forceful, maybe??? and it — it helped that gsp was returning his feelings?? so — so there’s. there’s rlly nothing wrong w/ how their affections for each other went?
but with kara. its like. it’s YEARS after longing and loneliness. and he got — desperate. maybe it’s that: maybe it’s desperation that made mxy like, not healthy ? and made him, went batshit crazy of the fact, like ?? kara continuously refuse to say yes to him ?
because like. lots of things don’t match up to mxy’s dcu interpretation. but also ?? it - sorta does. i mean?? idk. DO I MAKE SENSE ???
AND ALSO THERE’S A PART OF ME THAT SORTA BELIEVED MXY “FALLING FOR KARA” IS ALL A FRICKIN HOAX LIKE, MAYBE HE WAS FRICKIN BORED OF WATCHING THE DIMENSIONS AND DECIDED TO FUCK AROUND W/ PEOPLE BECAUSE LIKE ??? his line of “woah, okay. there’s only one room for the crazy person in this relationship” and iM ? ? ? ??
