Decided to move my TS2 content to a new sideblog and change my handle for a number of reasons I won't bore you with. This one will stay up, of course, but it'll no longer be updated. Please send asks to the new account, I'll be closing asks here in the near future.
My files will still be prefixed with "Fia." I have no issues still being associated with "MrsM'Quve," I'll just be using "Dark Side Princess" as an identity more often.
I was able to change my Pillowfort and Simblr.cc account names to dark-side-princess, so links on my sidebar here have been updated. My current Dreamwidth will stay as mrs-mquve-2 since I recently created it, and my new name is the title anyway.

My dumb indecisive ass can't make up my mind on wtf to do about sharing CC, but I've been working on my default project and am feeling it today so here's 9 base game hair defaults if anyone wants 'em.
Some of these feature @furbyq and @skulldilocks' lovely work, as well as Whirr Ping Click Click and Party Cake Fiebelkorn in their debut as MrsM'Quve CC models (more and more Pazooka sims have been invading my game because they're right at home here 😄)
Attention: TS2 CC hoarders like me who use collections
WARNING: This info is from my own findings, so it's not guaranteed fact. I am no programmer or modder, so take it with a grain of salt. Just thought it's something I should share!______________________________________________________________
So, I've concluded that TS2 has a hard limit of 255 for the number of custom collections you can make.
I also believe making objects collection-only (i.e. hiding them in the catalog so they can only be accessed through a collection) will break a lot if you do it after packaging it and try to place the lot.
I currently have ~7 GB of build/buy CC in my game and TONS of deco, which I sort into other categories so I don't have 100 pages of deco misc and sculptures (yes, I know, I have no self-control). I still have trouble finding things so I use collections and constantly make new ones. I always wondered if there was a limit on how many you can create.
Last night I made a new collection, and the game crashed every time I loaded collections and clicked on not only that one, but *any* collection. I know very little about programming but I do know 256 is a hard limit number in many games. Sure enough, I had 255 custom collections. I deleted some and the issue persisted. I came to the conclusion that it corrupted something - possibly the CustomCollections file the game creates in the Collections folder, because my objects.package files are unaltered.
Thankfully this was a recently-created game folder with a new hood with nothing but a few pre-packaged lots plopped down, so I didn't lose anything and fuck it, started a new game folder.
And now for the other issue:
I had an unplayed lot I built that had lots of deco, and when I placed it in my new hood, it refused to load. I remembered I had made a lot of that deco collection-only after I packaged the lot in my old game and before I installed it in my new one. I previously also had this same issue doing the same thing with poseboxes. Again, no sims had ever been moved into this game. I always use Chris Hatch's lot cleaner when I save lots, even if unplayed, to be safe.
I restored the deco to the catalog using Object Relocator but it still wouldn't load. So I placed the lot in my test game, which reverted everything to Maxis content. I deleted all deco items (and a bar because it spawned an NPC), used the lot cleaner again, and placed it back in my gameplay hood. It loaded fine.
TL;DR: You cannot create more than 255 custom collections or it will fuck up something and make your game crash. Don't hide items you've placed on a lot from the catalog or it'll break the lot.
Again, this is not gospel, just from my own experiments, but I hope this is helpful to someone!

Morph anon from before! I made a Simblr (Sanguophage-Sims) but I have a question since I discovered I like Milkshape, how do I get the Sim outfits not to override the old versions?

But if you're looking to start with meshing in Milkshape, I'd start with the basic tutorials at MTS (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) and Lifa's meshing tutorial. They include how to create a new mesh that doesn't override Maxis outfits but the key step is: after extracting the mesh from your exported Bodyshop file go to PJSE > Object Tools > Fix Integrity, type in a new name, and hit "update".

Well.... I know I keep changing my mind about sharing my content here, but mental illness is a bitch.
I'm going back to posting CC and pics at Dreamwidth and Pillowfort only for the foreseeable future. I love sharing the joy TS2 brings me with other simmers, but I don't fit in here. The generation gap is too big and I don't care about current trends. I feel like I'm constantly being judged - whether it's true or not - and I just want to enjoy my hobby.
@furbyq and I have been working on a lot of stuff together, and I'm starting a new default project - I had most Maxis clothes and hair hidden but the game has to load it anyway so why not replace it with stuff I use - and my list of future projects is endless. I've been more productive than ever but I want to present my CC in a more relaxed environment (and spend less time on preview pics 😅)
I'll still be lurking here to answer asks (and shitpost on my main lol) so if you have and WCIFs or questions don't hesitate to message me. I still want to be part of the community, just in a way that's better for my sanity.
Hey, sorry if I'm intruding! Do you know where I can find a guide for converting body types? I'd hope for it to use Blender but I understand if not, I just want to convert some base game and Castaway outfits to Consort and Dummy Thicc.
Hi! Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about Blender (the program terrifies me tbh 😅). I do my conversions in Milkshape using WSOs and I learned from Ocelotekatl's tutorial (first one on the page).
WSOs are just a starting point though, meshes usually need at least a little reshaping afterward. Digi's Dummy Thicc WSOs are here, afaik Consort has no WSOs though so you'd need to do it by hand anyway.
Does anyone know if there's a tutorial for doing bodyshape conversions in Blender, or know how to do it themselves?
I fixed a waist seam on the morphs on the CPU conversions of Ghanima's miniskirts. Didn't notice until I was testing a new CPU top today 😓 Sorry about that! All the files have been updated but if you just need the meshes here they are.
I'm 10000% sold on going back to using LBB on Zeno 🥵 the LBB conversion of this outfit doesn't have the sword belt the original has though and that is essential to his character, so I'll be changing that because the alternative is giving him an accessory he'd end up stabbing Laegrinna with every time they try to make out.
And of course, Laegrinna demanded to be included in this post too and who am I to say no to her?
These have been done for a while - I had mentioned them in my first bodyshape separates post - but my brain seems to be in perpetual chaos mode and I'm just all over the place with projects lately 😭 But if you downloaded the tops in that post and you use Dummy Thicc, there's finally a bottom to use with it!
And a few hairs. Two of them I've done in the past but needed a revamp for my current game. (And yes, I've allowed Mawreen to model hair now too, because there's no valid reason she shouldn't.)
As usual, all clothing recolors are repo'd to a required "textures" file and BSOK'd (with non-BSOK'd option for AF).
Self-Saboteur Part II: Aikea Guinea's Fitted Tee for MOAR bodyshapes, with Club Crimsyn textures
So now that I'm using separates for all the bodyshapes I use, I converted Aikea Guinea's fitted tee - which I did for CPU already - to Ren Gal, Vol Gal, Dummy Thicc, Momma Lisa, & Trans ML and used the same Club Crimsyn textures on them. Because this is a basic top mesh that TONS of textures can be put on, I've put together a mesh pack which includes AF and all 6 bodyshapes that I'll link to now and every time I use it in the future.
These have all morphs, and choose either the Maxis hands (1224 polys) or smooth hands (3032 polys) version for each shape!

As The World Falls Down - Trapping's Spegelbild Skirt with Emma Boots for 6 bodyshapes with FadeToBlack's textures
This was the skirt I didn't finish in time to include in the last upload. I converted it for all the shapes I use.
I edited the inside bottom cap of the skirt to be black since it was light gray which looked weird. There are 8 colors (I didn't do the white one because I don't use it). FadeToBlack's original AF recolors are included and repo'd to the same texture bundle.

@furbyq asked me if Legacy BSOK included Magpie's AM androgyny bodyshape, and I could swear it did but apparently not, just the AF one? That needed to be fixed, so I've assigned a product code for it and added it to BSOK Editor too!
It's been added to @h0nkytonkangels's updated file that includes Dummy Thicc (thank you again for that!) so if you have my DT add-on file from my previous uploads you won't need it anymore. I used the same abbreviation (AY) as the AF androgyny shape, made a new icon to be easier to see with CleanUI and replaced the AF androgyny icon with the same one (please let me know if it's hard to see on other UIs).
The Bodyshape Icons_2023 file goes in your Downloads folder. the bsok_04Legacy.xml goes in the folder you have BSOK Editor installed, under Resources > XML. You should know be able to select Androgyny AM under Legacy BSOK > Bodyshapes > Slim Sizes (male).
