I hadn't seen many teenager type pebbles yet so I decided to make one

He's genuinely kind on the inside and just wants to be a part they just get so frustrated with themselves that they get in their head and lose it

I didn't put this in the art but he has a tendency to use his arms and tap his carapace aggressively when he's trying really hard to think this never helps and it usually makes things worse

They feel like a freak sometimes so you can find him alone brooding like a true teen

Even when quiet you can hear him judging you ngl

did you know that it's because of you criticizing everything that you don't like about an author's headcanons or fanfictions that authors stop writing? it's what almost made me stop writing. felt like bringing this back because holy when will this site stop with the hate comments. let people write ffs

The first ever comment I got on ao3, on the first story i ever posted, was a whole paragraph telling me my story sucked ass and I was gonna die alone

And I cried. For a while. I took a long break from writing, and almost stopped entirely, until my friends assured me that my story wasnt that bad and that that comment was ridiculous.

Ik the original post is about this site, and im talking about ao3, but hate comments and unprompted criticism and 'advice' are a problem in both places.

If you are in a fandom that makes a lot of art and stories, some of that stuff isnt going to be to your taste. But tearing apart everything you don't love and completely agree with just leads to empty fandoms comprised of people who would create all sorts of things if they hadn't been discouraged by hate.

I am really glad I didn't stop writing btw. Ur stories are never that bad, and for every person that dislikes your story, there will be at least one (probably more) who like it ♡♡
