Once upon a time ago (2021, most likely), I asked the hive mind about how to go about getting an ADHD diagnosis.

Years later, I'm happy to report that I officially have an ADHD diagnosis, and I'm starting my non-stimulate meds tomorrow. Once I get some blood work done and an EKG, I'll find out if I qualify for stimulates. But the validation and weight that seemed to lift from my shoulders that I wasn't gas lighting myself..priceless!

Today I learned that funeral homes will transfer cremated remains into the urn or other vessels for you.

Because after I learned that bone fragments were in the ashes, I knew I wasn't as strong as I thought.

It may have taken a while to figure it out, but I'm glad to get Mom moved to her final resting place now.

Started watching Bones last week. I've made it to season 2.

Sorry to David Boreanaz for watching his performance in this before Buffy.

It's good background noise. At least one episode has aged poorly with Booth hard-core threatening to deport a mother (to El Salvador no less) and keep the child in the states.

S01 E17 takes place in New Mexico.

Should probably check out a Kathy Reichs book.

I'm on season 8 now. It's gotten better.

Bones and Booth getting togehter was too rushed, but I get it considering she was pregnant with Cricket's baby.

Puppies grow so big so fast!! We got our last girl right before she turned one, so we didn't see it. This girl is gonna be big.

Ugh, I love this puppy so much, even if she is a ton a work. She gets her 3rd round of shots on Monday. I can't wait for her to be caught up for longer walks.

Whoa, it's been a minute.

Here's a small life update:

- We bought a house in August

- We got a puppy in March

- This school year is leagues better than last

Played hooky to go to the Balloom Fiesta. Balloons haven't gone up yet but the drone show started. This event is so stinking cool.

First day back today. I gotta say, it's much easier to walk into a space knowing exactly what is (or isn't) expected of you.

There's a part of me that has a LOT of hope for this upcoming school year. Last year was just rough. The student population we have aren't really readers, and it doesn't help that the collection wasn't the greatest. I'm doing my best to breath new life into it. And I'm feeling good about the books I've added so far.

A couple of wins on Wednesday: It was orientation day for students to get their schedules, pay technology fees, and whatnot.

Our new AP came in to introduce herself and said she has only heard wonderful things about me.

At least two kids told the people they were with that I was their bestie last year.

When I went to my car to get some extra stuff I brought, 3 students from last year yelled my name, came rushing up to me, and helped me with my box.

Here's to Year 9 in Education, Year 4 as a School Librarian, and Year 2 in New Mexico!

Okay, but what if I organized a speed puzzle competition at my campus for December?

There isn't much going on in December, and I've already planned to have students create dog toys for the animal shelter in November.

Hmmmmmm.

It's officially been one year that we have lived in New Mexico!

And guess what?

We're buying a house. Like....it's getting close to happening. Closing date is in August.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined agreeing to purchase a home in New Mexico and not returning to Texas. But the pros outweighed the cons. And...yeah!

I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm starting to get excited. In the meantime, here's an image from our potential backyard.

Hubby got me my own desktop PC for Christmas (mostly so we could game together which is his dream). We both have Microsoft Game Pass to play different games. I've gotten obsessed with Disney Dreamlight Valley, so much so that I've listened to maybe 3 full audiobooks while playing.

The graphics card or something is now messing up, and I'm upset I can't play anymore 😭😭 I can play on my laptop but it isn't the same.

Update: He told me to buy it for the Switch, so I did 😂 Luckily Sunday is the final day of its sale, so I can continue to spend my summer fully immersed in a game. One of my laziest summers on record!

Listen, I'm not a Swiftie, but I did get a lavender haze tattoo on Tortured Poets Society release day because a shop was having a special. The guy who made the flash has a Swiftie daughter, and I figured the lavender haze design was not too niche. Someone else did the actual tattoo, and she did an amazing job.

The guy posted some more flash of flowers, and there's a design I like. I'm kinda putting off getting another tattoo right now because we're visiting TX in 2 weeks. But when we come back, maybe??

Well now I don't think I can get a tattoo from him because he posted a story on IG from someone reading a passage from a book out of context at a school board meeting with 2 of these emojis 🤨. Sigh. It's dumb to have such a knee jerk reaction like that, but I can't help it.
