He lets Peter drag him out into the middle of the floor, wrapping his arms around his neck as Peter puts his hands on his waist.  “I requested this song,” Peter admits, pressing his forehead against Tony’s. “It made me think of you… of us.” “Really?” Tony asks softly, and he nods. Then he gets a tiny grin. “Isn’t this Taylor Swift?” “Hush, you,” he grumbles, making Tony laugh. “You have your vices, and I have mine!” “I love it,” Tony assures him. “Why did you–” “Just listen.”

It had been a few years since Stephen Strange cast the spell that made the entire world forget Peter Parker. It had taken every single one of those years for Peter to adjust to his new, lonely life. To his necessary lonely life.

"Pete, I have a message and I have to find an Avenger to give it to. You were the first person I searched for but you were nowhere. Cap is gone and Wanda's lost her mind apparently. Bruce has fallen off the planet. So it's either you or the Bleecker Street Mag... what are you doing?"

"You're not real, but I cant hear the drones," Peter said. His eyes were closed, and he walked toward Tony with one hand outstreatched. "....there's no source to the illusion, it's almost as if..."

"Kid, I know this must be confusing but..."

"You sound like Tony Stark," Peter said to himself, as his hand encountered Tony's body. "You smell like Tony Stark," he continued, as both hands went to Tony's shoulders. He pressed himself against Tony's body and took a long breath.

Tony's hands went out automatically to Peter's waist as he moved in to the strange hug. "You've grown, kid," he was saying now. Saying softly. "You're at least 3 inches talmmmm...

"Pete, why are you kissing me?" he asked. As best he could.

"Because you're not real," Peter said dreamily, both of his hands on the pretend-man's face. He opened his eyes and looked into the dark eyes he had been dreaming about for so long.

"So I might as well."
