Idk why (personal opinion btw) the theory of Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Douma being misogynistic or having a mentality of thinking women as someone beneath them does not sit right with me.

douma in general thinks all humans are dumb and prefers women because they are more nutritious.

as for kokushibo, he did leave his wife for his ambition to surpass yoriichi but a person with comprehensive of a five year old can tell that he was in peace with her but he found that slow life boring (not justifying it). and as far as the opponent is worth fighting i do not think he would have any issue with their sex.

in manga none of these characters are shown disrespecting women. i think it is wrong to mischaracterise them.

Like Spider Lilies

xmas gift for @supernovacoffeestop, @plushkokushibo6, @mrstsugikunik, and @thotfulwriter. Sorry if it's short guys. Wrote it when I was half asleep.

Spider lilies symbolize a range of ideas, most notably death, final goodbyes, and the afterlife, especially the red variety. However, they also represent rebirth, renewal, and the cyclical nature of life. The specific meaning can vary depending on the color, with white symbolizing purity and pink signifying love.

Red spider lilies primarily symbolize death and separation, due to their association with funerals and the underworld in Japanese and Chinese cultures. However, they also represent rebirth, renewal, and remembrance because they bloom around the autumn equinox and are often planted on graves to guide souls to the afterlife. Their meaning can also extend to final goodbyes and tragically parted lovers.

The red seeped through him. On him. Every time these hands took a life or their flesh was passed through his mouth.

It was a truly gruesome sight on a monster like him, taking souls as he passed through the night like a reaper on the breeze. His rebirth into the monster he was now was not lost on him either. He was mad maybe but he hadn't become delusional to think that what he had become wasn't anything less than a monster. A beast.

A demon.

When he comes around red like spider lilies and cares not for the horror on her face and the flinch of his touch against hers when he desires her close for his own comfort. Just to be alive. Just to feel that last bit of humanity left. Just to pretend to be human one more time. To have a love and life that wasn't anything like the beast that lurked in the dark and bring others to an early grave with him swaying over them like the lilies.

Kept my promise and redrew it, it was fun to do especially coloring Kokushibo! At first I didn’t trust the process but I believed and kept on going! 💪 Maybe I can do Yoriichi?

Progress so far of the redraw…Kokushibo looks a little weird because I haven’t gotten to the lineart but it’s almost there.

I lowkey forgot about this but here it is, I was going to make him based on my Akaza fic that I’m writing but I suppose another time will call for it. For now, have a shirtless Akaza that I cooked up.
