bro r u okay??
Every time I talk to my friend about my interests that she knows nothing about I imagine she's sitting there and thinking about how insane whatever I'm saying sounds while I think it makes complete sense because I've spent copious amounts of time researching said interests
Okay so I feel like people who hesitate to upload their comics or art in general even though they want to are at least partly intimidated by the influx of people on the internet saying that "if you're going to make something bad you shouldn't share it". Or maybe the fact that people have become more rude and "strict" with their expectations when it come to art.
I've seen people share their opinion on someone's drawings and be so outwardly rude about it. I don't mean direct or honest, I mean literally TRASHING on it. I feel like they don't realise that no matter the media, it's gonna have people who like it. Just because something doesn't cater to your interest and you find it bad, doesn't mean that other people think the same way, right?
This brings me to my point. Yes, it's true, some people are way more comfortable with being assholes nowadays and not even trying to hide it, but just because these people exist doesn't mean it should stop you from sharing your art on a platform. I'm saying this gently, there are people who won't like your art and that's fine, but there will also be people who adore it. Maybe you'll even inspire other artists to express themselves. Don't hesitate to share your creations
To add onto this, don't stop creating art just because you are scared of the judgement. I know it's hard sometimes, but if you stop, how will you practice and get better? It's extremely important to not let yourself down because something might have started to make you think what you are making isn't good enough! Your art is amazing.
