You asked why we’re here, I gave an answer.
I — I didn't mean here as in Hogwarts, you see?
— I meant to ask you what is the reason for us to be outside. In this weather, especially.

You asked why we’re here, I gave an answer.
I — I didn't mean here as in Hogwarts, you see?
— I meant to ask you what is the reason for us to be outside. In this weather, especially.
I’ll kiss anyone who does my Herbology homework for me.
Please don't. I promise you I'll help you, but please don't kiss me, Pans.
— Or I'd be kissing you and half the male population of Hogwarts. [ he winks ]
To learn, I assume. In any case, I would think it’s not to complain.
I — I don't...What are you talking about?
— What?
Well if you’re gonna fear a woman, my mum is probably the one to be scared of.
—— Me having anything to do with it is also not any fun.
[ Edward snorts ] My sisters wouldn’t go near you, Vaisey. They have class. [ He nudges his mate’s shoulder to let him know that he’s kidding ]
— I was under the assumption that she already did, mate.
I appreciate the acknowledgement.
— Well, that's rubbish. It would be scandalous!
[ Sebastian's eyes widen as he pretends to be offended ] Oh, you keep betting on that one, Eddie.
Hid my spliff out here somewhere… Need your help finding it. I’ll let you in on it if we’re successful.
Oh.
— Those were yours?
Sorry, mate, I think Blaise has them? Or Travers, perhaps?
Warning ● Sebastian + Nina
No one had ever expected Nina to be a rational, normal girl. Even before her accident in her second year, her parents had always fondly regarded her as a free-spirit, someone who could never be bound to one place or thing for too long. Everything about her was fleeting, and so when she began donning the skin of a wolf every month, suddenly things became concrete, unchangeable, permanent. Now flowing through Nina’s veins was a deep bitterness that fixed itself to every speck of lycanthropy.
Over time, she learned to embrace her wolf nature, sometimes more so than her human side. And though pride was undoubtedly a human emotion, it was easy for her to hold grudges against people who meant nothing to her.
— However, Sebastian was not a meaningless person. He was not just another warm body flowing endlessly in and out of the halls of the castle, as much as she would have him be after their altercation nearly a week ago. Despite how thoroughly he turned down her offer to become like her, he was still part of her pack. Pack was more important than even family.
Nina was never expected to be kindhearted or forgiving. What no one expected was for the wolf to be calling better shots than she could herself.
Which was why she now found herself standing in the middle of a dark stairway, listening to Sebastian talk to himself some nonsense about war.
— Make that previously dark. His wand stuck right in her face, shining much more brightly than absolutely necessary, she snorted and waved it away with the back of one hand. "No, but you do look really fucking pathetic," she mused, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth, "Scared you’re gonna get caught?"
That was definitely not what she confronted him to say. She was supposed to be apologizing, not insulting him more. Maybe she just didn’t have it in her, and she should just breeze past him, let it go and —
— "Look, can we talk? I promise I’ll —
— try and be nice.” Her lips quirked to one side — the words were flowing out almost of their own accord, but that didn’t make this any easier. "No promises, though. If you start something, I’m sure as hell gonna finish it."
It was ironic, to say the least. Of all people, she was the one he came across that night. Funny thing, once Sebastian heard her voice, he almost wished it was a dark wizard. He wished it was an hallucination. He wished it was anything but her, anything but the cold-arse reality of having to look at her.
He lowered his wand with a taste of disgust in his tongue. Fucking pathetic. That was her great speech. Forget his wishes, if the bitch wanted altercation, he'd take her like that was a battlefield.
— Because, in reality, it was.
She wasn't finished, no, and he was about to cut her quiet when he heard what she had to say. At first, when Bash heard Nina asking him to talk, he felt something crack. There was the warning, once again, of something he didn't quite want to know. He knew the heart didn't have anything to do with feelings and sensations: it was all brain and neurons. How was it possible that his chest ached, then? Just a little bit, surely. Perhaps just so he could know it was still there.
Do you know anything about back holes? A black hole is a spot in which gravity has become so extremely powerful that all the other forces in the universe are overwhelmed by it. Once inside, nothing can escape a black hole — not even light.
— So why the hell did he think he could?
Everything was bound to go downhill again, and probably none of them even knew why at that point. "Try and be nice? Is this what you call nice? Well, that is fucking pathetic." His voice was husky, like everything was some sort of pillow talk, but he was dead serious."Isn't that what you always do, alpha female? You finish what I start."
Warning ● Sebastian + Nina
Sebastian intended to live an extraordinary life. An extraordinary life, you see, wasn't made of fantastical endeavors two times a day. It was all about taking the infinite moments of an average day and making them something else. Something out of the average. Something memorable.
Their fight, almost a week ago, was hardly a memorable moment.
He avoided Nina in the hallways, in their common room, in between classes. He had to make himself believe in what she said. She was very clear she wanted him to believe in it. Bash hated It was what it was, though, and he was resolute: he'd never look at her again. He didn't understand why, but whenever that thought crossed his mind, he felt a hole inside him. Emptiness, like all that's left after a stellar explosion outshines an entire galaxy as it dies.
—He used to believe he was the sun, but he was a supernova. 20 times bigger, stronger, greater, but carrying something as big, as strong and as great to rule where he's fallen. If he was a supernova, Nina was his fucking black hole. And that, of course, explained the emptiness that creeped in on the sly, whenever he was unaware of his loneliness.
That acknowledgement, on itself, was a warning. Sebastian, however, didn't feel like searching for meanings. He was heading to the owlery to send his godmother a letter, hoping she could push some sense inside his demented father's head. The very known autumn breeze ran through the halls, something Sebastian was grateful for, because he couldn't bear any more heat that year. He was about to run up the stairs so he could go back to his common room before Oona realised he was gone. After the portkey fiasco and Nina's knee, he didn't need anything else up in his business. He heard something in his way up, though, so when he came back down, his wand was already in his hand. If there was someone out past curfew, especially there, it most definitely wasn't out of good intentions.
There was a war happening. Most of the times, would act like it wasn't. They appeared to forget all about it. He knew better, of course. They acted how they acted because there was a war happening. "Because we are all too short on time to deny ourselves any happiness." He voiced that last thought, mostly because he knew someone was hearing. He just didn't know who. "Lumos"
He stood in silence, suddenly aware of everything. Every sound. Every movement. "Well, come out already. Do I look like a sodding prefect?"
The bloody wind is freezing — too cold for September, I should add. Potions started five minutes ago. There is nothing to do outside the castle for the next two weeks.
— Why are we here?
My mum isn’t that scary! Honestly, she’s all talk.
—— I mean..you could try it, I suppose. Just make sure she knows I had nothing to do with it.
That’s… notwhat I was talking about. But since we’re on the subject — please don’t do that either. With either one of them for that matter.
— Pansy, yes! She’d hex your bollocks off but it might be worth it.
With all respect given, she's gorgeous, but terrifying. I think she is terrifying because she is gorgeous. And I don't usually fear women...
— You having nothing to do with it draws away all the fun.
It's alright, man. [ Sebastian winked, a smile already on his lips ] Do tell them to stay away from me, though.
— She'll end up hating me. Pansy, I mean. That, of course, if she doesn't already. I don't really mind, you see? She hates everyone.
from nina "I don’t care at all."
"Yes, you do." Sebastian slapped her arse, using the free hand to pull her back to him, away from anything else else. "You think I’m gorgeous. A sex god that fell from heaven. It’s okay, I understand."
At least move aside so I can sit.
And maybe stop snoring.
Merlin, there's plenty of space already. What? Are you scared of human interaction now?
I —
— I don't snore!
Hey, I was not and you know it.
— And don’t call me that.
— Yeah, and unregistered portkeys aren’t just against school rules, they’re illegal. Try again.
Okay! [ he held his hands up in surrender ]
— It's not exactly a portkey, to be quite honest. It's more like an object teleportation thing. It doesn't work like a portkey would.
Oh, poor baby. [ at the last word, her hand collides with his crotch and she begins roughly stroking his member through his trousers ] Did I bruise your ego? [ she clucks her tongue sarcastically, brushing her nose against his once more and settling herself into his grip on her waist ] I’m sorry. I’m done, I promise. [ unhooking one set of nails from his arm, Nina moved her hand instead to cup his cheek, sighing heavily against his lips ]
— Done fucking around with you. [ suddenly, before speaking, her jaw set, words coming out through clenched teeth and, to punctuate the statement, her hand flew from his crotch to his shoulder, replaced with her knee instead ]
No, you didn't. [ he arches his back as the pain strikes him ] This definitely will, though. [ Sebastian shakes his head, letting the anger clean his mind completely ] This is it, then. If you don't want to fuck around with me any longer you could've just said it, like I asked you to. There are plenty who are dying to be where you've been. [ he shrugs, but the pain in his body is visible ] You are scandalous, however, and I don't do drama. Nor little confused girls. Just remember this conversation started because you wanted something I couldn't give you. It's rejection, darling, not murder. You need anger management. Or a dog trainer. [ in spite of said pain, he is awfully calm, like all of it was nothing but a pleasant encounter ] I'm done playing that part.
— Have a nice life, pup. Save me a bloody rabbit next full moon. [ he throws her the chalendar one more time before turning around ]
Yeah, but she’d probably start crying. I wouldn’t put it past her to owl my mum.
——— She’d do more than that. I want nothing to do with this.
Just…don’t misbehave towards my sister…or — just don’t involve me. But if you want to turn someone else’s hair a different color, then I’m all in.
I don't think I'm the best person to deal with crying girls. Merlin, no! You mother scares the hell out of me.
— A bloke can dream, right?
I- Mate, I'm not shagging your sister, if that's what you're talking about. On side note, we could always do Pans! She would hex me daft, to be quite honest, but wouldn't it be a terrific view?
[ breathing heavily, she moves in even closer until she can feel his breath on her lips ] Do you really think I won’t? [ she chuckles and tilts her head as though she’s about to kiss him ] Are you really willing to make that bet, Vaisey? You don’t know a single thing about me, not like you think you do. Hate me. I. Don’t. Care. [ she pauses for a moment as her breathing becomes ragged from anger ] It’ll be your loss, not mine. You’re not fucking special. You’re nothing. [ brushing her nose against his slightly, Nina lets out a huff of distaste ] Just a pathetic human who doesn’t know where his place is.
Shut the fuck up, Nina. It's embarrassing! You and your overblown self-importance! I'm tired of this, so I'm gonna ask you one time. [ he licks his lips, fighting the urge to snort at the end of her speech. one of his hands lets go of her scruff, searching for her waist ] Do you really believe in all this crap you just said to me? [ he raises an eyebrow, his smirk defiantly challeging her to prove him wrong ] I don't. I think it's pure rubbish. And, come on, you know I'm right. Now, are you fucking done yet? [ as he takes a deep breath, his lips touch Nina's for a moment, but Sebastian doesn't kiss her ]
[ she huffs and crosses her arms ] I was not spying. I overheard you.
— But if you do it, then I’m gonna know who did and both of you are gonna get in trouble.
[ he raises an eyebrow ] You were eavesdropping, O.
— It's just a small portkey. No one would even find out about it! It wouldn't change anything at all, you see? It would just allow me to walk a little less. No sneaking out equals less problems for you and our house, right? Why not, then?
How about we compromise and you can go to class and I can take a nap here now, that sounds reasonable, you’ll need the class time anyway.
It's History of Magic, Ave. I'm quite sure there will be no news.
— I'm definitely staying.
