Ice in My Veins | Loki and Natalie
Natalie gave a rare, small smile, letting the small bird finish eating from her hand. The bird chirped, fluffed himself out, and ate.
"I’ve spent many a day with nature," Natalie murmured. "I find it comforting, beautiful, peaceful…and if you’re patient, it rewards you."
She gently ran her thumb over the top of the bird’s head. The chickadee, used to her constant presence, simply ruffled up his feathers and chirped. She smiled, warmly. After the songbird finished eating, she watched as he flew off, dusting down her hands. She turned her head, surprised to see the god before her, holding out a flower to her.
It caught her off guard, unsure how to respond or act to such a brazen statement. Instead, she simply took the rose, smiling at him.
"Aren’t we a gentleman when we want," she said. Her tone had a slight, teasing air to it.

"I am always a gentleman Natalie.....when I am allowed to be a gentleman and not been put in a cage and treated like an animal" He said cooly before striding away from her to observe other area's of the courtyard. Shield hadn't done too badly but the main building, even from the outside looked too sterile for Loki's liking. He sat down on the bench outside and listened to nature, soaking up the fact he was free for now and allowed to explore his surroundings.
He looked over at Natalie and watched her walking around the courtyard, tending to plants, watching the birds and sometimes even calling out to them. To him she was magnificent, glorious, she was like a beacon of light but how dare he ever try to tell her that. He huffed a little and stood up from the bench, preparing himself for when the guards would need to take him back inside. He could take the opportunity and run, taking Natalie with him but what was the point? They would only find him again and put him back where they felt he belonged.
He put out his wrists and waited for the cold metal cuffs to be clamped onto his wrists.

One of the worst loki’s on tumblr. It was recently discovered that they copy and rip of other Loki’s roleplays and headcanons and have gone so far as to imitate other Loki blog writing styles and ideas with partners.
I think this is bloody hilarious!

Sally could see Loki was surprised by her brother’s response, but likely is that Joe would ask later, but he trusted them, so she knew if he was bothered she would be able to tell.
"I’m hungry" Joe declared at her.
"aha" Sally replied, making sure Loki was okay holding Silver who was excitable again.
"Woman. Make food. Feed King" Joe growled, tapping his chest playfully.
"King of the fools you may be, Joe, but you look better with the frilly apron" Sally replied. "Besides, the man of the house flame doesn’t lie with you"
"I am hurt and saddened, your very words wound me" Joe replied as he turned about to go downstairs.
"Alas for you" Sally replied as Adder chuckled, following his brother in law.
"Wanna come eat?" Sally offered Loki with a smile.

The evening meal was enough to fill the god and it was done to high expectations, he couldn't thank Sally enough for the food that he received, even when others around the table were eating like pigs at a trough, in fact that experience reminded him of Thor when he was exceptionally hungry and could not resist the urge to devour what ever lay on the table.
Now was the time for rest and it was Loki's first night in his new surroundings. Sally was busy putting Silver down for the night, giving him some time to take in his room. The lights were dimmed and he had the option to turn them off, the room was in his eyes, enormous yet it was a far cry from the cell. It was comfortable and felt homely for him, there was books on the shelves, the bed was a double and not a single and the mattress was soft but not overly soft, the linen was and he felt warmth....he didn't feel like he was in a sterile environment.
He stood in the room unsure what to do, he was used to being forced to go to bed but here it seemed once you were in your room you chose when to sleep so long as you didn't wake the sleeping baby. There was even this thing called a Television in his room but Loki was unsure on how to use it and gave it a wide berth.
As soon as Sally was done with Silver she quietly walked into Loki's room to check on him, only to find him standing next to his bed at a loss as to what he was meant to do now.

Sally signed to Joe ‘new roommate’ in which Joe replied ‘why..?’, so Sally replied ‘just get upstairs’. She turned to the other two who were looking as confused.
"Sign language" she explained to Loki and then smiled sweetly at him, "You know, we accept you, and we hope Sil will continue a bond with you"
Silver burred and cutely turned his head down and smiled, which was something he did that really got everyone turned to mush, even someone like Cameron Shaw, who was usually fairly placid.
Joe then appeared beside his brother in law, confused.
"Sup?" the young assassin asked.
"Joe, Loki, Loki, my brother Joe" Sally introduced, Joe reaching to shake his hand.
"Loki is moving in with us" Sally added.
Joe shrugged “kay”
"No objections?" Sally asked
The dark haired male shook his head, not bothered seemingly at all.
"Nope" he replied.
"Joe is, as you can tell, fairly placid about stuff" Sally chirruped, smiling.

Loki shook the young mans hand. He was a little stunned. He though everyone on midgard had heard of this terrible crime he committed while under the spell of the Chitauri and being promised much reward from Thanos and his loyal subject and yet this man didn't bat an eyelid. He didn't care or show bother and he seemed relaxed about having the god in the house when he should be the one throwing obscenities and screaming his disgust at to having such a criminal in the family home.
Silver then looked over at Loki and reached out for the god. Loki didn't know how to react but Sally gently took the baby from her husbands arms and gently passed him over to the god. At first Silver was a little thrown but once his eyes had set upon the gods face, he beamed and burred happily.
Loki couldn't explain it....It seemed even though they knew what he had done, they had forgiven him and were giving him that much needed second shot.

Sally smiled “We could go clothes shopping later if you like” she offered, “you’ve got some night clothes if you wanna crash for today and then we can go do that tomorrow if you would like”
She watched as Loki went to see the view from the window that looked over the garden, at the moment Baldur was outside with Joe, and they were playing with a ball. Sally walked over when Loki frowned, not recognising him.
"That’s my little brother, Joe" Sally said as she looked down as well, "he lives here too, but he sometimes is working or at his girlfriend’s"
Adder was in the doorway holding a very talkative and active Silver who was holding his very own conversation, maybe commenting on the room decor, all he knew is that the teddy on the pillow was fun to look at.

Loki turned round to see the baby happily babbling to himself and making gestures at the teddy before leaning back and burring at his father, making the reaper smile. Silver had his full attention and Loki could already tell Silver was going to have his father wrapped round his little finger.
"Your little boy is surrounded by family...and this can only benefit him. He will be raised to learn of love, the nature of family and it's meaning. He will learn a lot from his family and there will be a bond...a very close bond with each and everyone of you, one that you could not put a price on because that type of love is priceless"
He smiled a little but he could sense that Sally could detect the heart break in his words, wishing he was close to his family, accepted for who he was rather then be treated like a monster that was told in the stories to scare children, he sighed and quickly went back to looking out the window, not noticing that Joe was staring right back at him with an eyebrow raised, perhaps questioning why his sister had brought a god to the house.

Ice in My Veins | Loki and Natalie
Natalie walked alongside the god, noting how he seemed to take in the warmth of the sun and cool breeze. She wasn’t sure if it was due to being in solitary, causing him to relish the feeling of the outdoors, or if he genuinely appreciated nature.
She walked alongside in silence, her heels clicking against the stone pathway of the courtyard. She stopped, momentarily, sliding her hand into her pocket, pulling out a small bag of crumbs. She put a few on her hand and waited, patiently. After a pause, Natalie smiled as a small chickadee came and landed on her finger, chirping as he ate off her hand.
"I see we have gotten braver," she murmured, softly, to the bird. She took comfort in being outside in nature. She was overwhelmed too much by modern society and technology at times, so she often escaped to the courtyard to remind herself of simpler times. The birds had grown accustomed to her presence and, after feeding them, often bravely flew up to her.
It was a simple pleasure, really, she mused, watching the bird pause from eating to fluff himself up and preen a wing before going back to the crumbs.

Ice in My Veins
Loki was amazed as he watched the little chickadee, preen and tidy its self up on Natalie's hand, the bird chirping and feeding without a care. It impressed him greatly, she seemed to be a natural when it came to nature.
"Nature seems to like you Natalie" Loki said with an upturned smile, watching her as she continued to be patient with the small chickadee. "Birds and other small animals are very hard for midgardians to communicate with...Some asgardians can do it but not alot. It's probably because they see us a giants...monsters and scary...or they can't trust us? One...or the other."
He continued to walk around the courtyard, observing the flower beds and bushes that grew there. He liked nature, he liked walking among it's beauty. He felt at peace, sensing the tranquility and spiritual essence of mother nature.
He saw a rose on one of the bushes in full bloom and gently ran his finger down it's stem before gently breaking it off the bush and taking it over to Natalie, offering it to her with a slight smile.
"This one is for you madam"

Sally sat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"It’s okay, we’ll show the essential places like your room and the bathroom, kitchen, and when you feel a bit more on your feet you can explore" she offered, knowing that it must be overwhelming after months of confinement.
"We’ve made up a room for you to sleep and relax, and we’ve put some things in there for you, but if there is anything else you would like, don’t be afraid to ask."
Sally took his hand and squeezed it, waiting for the God to calm down a little.
"There are only two rules in this house, one is that just to consider the baby sometimes, like keeping it down when he’s sleeping, and the second is if you wanna go somewhere like for a walk, just give us a heads up? Other than that, this house is your home"
She looked at Adder a moment to see if that was reasonable and agreeable, but it was more or less the same rules they gave Joe, except Sally told him if she discovered any substance she would let Adder drag him to the police station. He had taken it fine, even though he had been clean for a while.
She could have warned Loki about being ‘evil’ again, but she had show faith in him and she did have it, so it wasn’t necessary. Adder gave a small nod and smile to indicate it was agreeable.

Loki took a deep breath as he absorbed his surroundings, the house was indeed big and much more then what he was used to but Sally wasn't going to leave Loki to dwell on the fact he was in a much more larger environment then he was comfortable with, she took his hand and lead him upstairs to the room they had made up for him and it was quite big but comfortable. There was a shelf with a few books put aside, a chair for him to sit in and read if he wished to, Adder put in a Television and a games console...just in case Loki wanted to get to grips with the Midgardian "Luxuries" He also had a double bed with plush bedding and towels for when he needed to shower.
Loki took in a deep breathe and explored the room while Sally looked on, watching him. He was like a child who had just turned up on holiday, exploring his room with intrigue. Loki noted the walk in wardrobe and stepped in, jumping slightly when the lights came on automatically. It earnt a chuckle from Sally but Loki couldn't help but notice there was no clothes hanging in there and he felt the need to address the situation.
"......I have noticed that...I don't have any other clothes to wear and that my wardrobe is empty. Is there is any chance that we could...change this?"

Sally smiled and walked with Loki towards the waiting car, with Adder carrying Silver and her arm looped with the God’s.
"It’s a tracker" she explained of the band, it was thin and light so it wasn’t intrusive, but had enough power to keep co-ords. "it was the compromise we had to make with them, this way they can ensure you are where you should be"
She could see Loki nodding in understanding, “I had to make it strong enough to withstand God like powers and maybe your illusions” she confessed and turned the God to look at her.
"In no way I am assuming I have fully Loki-proofed it not to be removed, because I believe you are stronger than you give out… but… I have to put my faith in you for that"
She looked at him sincerely, hoping he would understand
"They don’t know that, but we do, so, look at this as an added trust"

Loki examined the bracelet that was on his wrist, it wasn't bulky, it was thin and looked like a normal braclet, he was expecting it to be something that they would clamp onto his wrist but the fact Sally trusted the god to keep the bracelet on, spoke Volumes to the god. It said she trusted him, that she put aside his past and was giving him a fresh start, one that he needed.
Adder gently placed an arm around his shoulders and guided Loki to the car, Sally got in the back with Silver, to keep the infant company on their journey home, Loki sat in the front with Adder. He was a little apprehensive but soon calmed once they got going. It was a seemingly quiet journey home, Loki found himself watching the scenery go past him, losing himself as he drifted off in thought...would he find it hard to adapt to the ways of midgard? Would people slowly accept him?
Adder pulled the car into driveway of their home and cut the engine before getting Loki's attention and telling the god they were home. Loki smiled and stepped out of the car, helping Sally with Silver who was fast asleep. He then followed them into their home and suddenly felt like a fish out of water. For months he was used to close surroundings but this wasn't close...this house was huge and it was a little bit of a shock for the god, who felt a little dizzy. He quickly sat down on the couch and took a few deep breaths, Adder and Sally looking at him with concern.
"....It's okay, I'm just....this is massive compared to where I have been living for the past few months...it was a bit of a shock"

"Orders from Fury" Sally replied to the worried God, but she smiled to calm him.
"Adder and I have just spent the good part of an hour talking to Fury about your situation and it’s been agreed after a lot of debating and quite frankly Adder kicking ass, that, if you would like it, you can come home with us"
She could see the shock on the God’s face and she looked at Adder a moment who gestured to a guard to open the door. The guard did so, grumbling and hating the orders, and Sally stepped in so Silver could see Loki and she could talk to him more properly.
"It was a bit of a compromise… you need to stay under some guardship,and some guards will come to check on you now and then at our house but ONLY if one of us are there… and yeah, we’ll be responsible for you, and if we have to both go somewhere you may have to come here temporarily, but…." she sighed.
"You can come home with us and our home will become your home"

Loki didn't know how to react, he was thankful that Sally campaigned to get him released under some durastiction, he was happy that he would be allowed to have his freedom and amend his ways and also spend time with Silver who was happily burring and wiggling in his mothers arms. He looked around the cell, a little bewildered by what was happening around him and then he took Sally's hand and looked at her.
"Thank you......you don't know how much this means to me, to be free, to be finally allowed out of this...cell"
He smiled as he followed Sally put of the Cell, Adder standing guard keeping the guards in check as they grumbled a little that the god would be allowed out, Loki just nodded his thanks at Adder before being taken down the corridor towards the way out and it was there he was stopped by Sally, Adder catching up to them. Loki blinked a bit confused but Sally gave him a re-assuring smile as Adder took his arm and rolled up his sleeve.
"Wait.....what are you doing?" Loki asked with concern in his voice, watching as Adder pulled something out of his pocket. A band a thin black band that slipped onto his wrist. Loki breathed a sigh of relief and hugged Sally.
