the end of the 2014 run i believe! super interesting... one of the biggest strengths of this story is how real the writer and the artist make the characters feel. Kamala feels like an actual teenager and i hope she finds a good love interest eventually...... that she likes back..... but it makes sense that her preoccupation with saving people will pull her away from more typical teenage worries like love. anyways as a whole she's sooo cutesy that's my daughter. I've been enjoying seeing her get to grips with the power and responsibility she holds. i also love thw parts where her faith intersects with her heroism!

didn't take many screenshots, but the team up with Carol Danvers was great, and I liked seeing them work together... maybe meeting your heroes is okay sometimes, and it feels like she needed that, especially as a solo Jersey hero she does feel alone.

her mom here feels like my mom... taking notice of things more than my dad included... and i love that she's supportive (semi-similar to my mom too). for context i am a queer child in a muslim family (although i am not religious unlike Kamala) and I did hide it from them for so long (much like a secret identity bahaha) but my mom took notice and showed some signs of support. even when she can't understand it. Kamala's experience is not 100% reflective of mine but i do feel a sense of kinship in this regard :)

Ms Marvel (2014) gets a 4.5/5★ for me. the art was also gorgeous i loved how sketchy and real it was. solid origin story.
