The standard of fencing this world’s was painfully low. Well, it’s not like they had to fight off monsters every other day. So Neinheart tried his best to teach - making sure to avoid the possibly lethal injuries.
His body felt sluggish, and he barely parried one blow from a junior. The junior’s look of amazement was funny, but inwardly he cursed.
This was not normal.
Still, he didn’t know why his body was reacting like this. It’s only the start, he couldn’t possibly be fatigued. ‘I’ll have to account for the lapse in time… Every moment has to be done a step faster.’
His mind, so focused on training the juniors before him and making sure his reactions were a second faster., he even forgot about the fact the two mages were there.
“His reactions have certainly increased.”
“I guess we’ll just have to observe him more then.”
Thus they both continue their observation from the viewing gallery.
He couldn’t ask for the end of the session any sooner. Dismissing the juniors, Neinheart went to the locker room to change out. In his mind, he was busy calculating everything in his mind.
Just why were they here? What did they want from this world? As much as possible, he’d like for a safe world for his counterpart to return to. He would prefer that his counterpart didn’t have to deal with these two in his stead.
He sighed. Brooding got him nowhere, and he quickly packed up and prepared to leave.
