The whole batman as liek a dark god idea is fine and all but... add Robin to that and it makes it peak. This dark imposing figure, a legend, an omen for all that is unholy in Gotham, protecting its people from the shadows as they pray to the giant bat they project into the sky in his honour that his protection reigns upon them...

And his trickster god fae who follows him around in the exact same dangers and horrors smiling the whole time, perfectly pristine hair, bootyshorts and a button up shirt. A harbinger of your fate come to mock yoh with bright colours and a perpetaully mocking tone.

Just found out that Holly from Red Dwarf is CANONICALLY trans

If a non PC sci fi show from the 80s can include "woke"/inclusive plot lines without accidentally making them even more exclusive and having a character's personality trait be their identity, you would think modern TV would be able to do the same

Never even questioned why Holly suddenly became a woman when I was younger, thrilled to learn as an adult that not only was this an LGBTQ+ friendly plotline, it was also a super romantic detail in the plot

Also a little sidenote, dare I say that it's most likely Holly is also sapphic in some way? Because like,, back in s1-2 when we had Norman's Holly, it was mentioned and implied a few times that he was interested in women. Not only was he in love with Hilly, but he also just canonically liked women in general :)

So I just don't see how that characteristic wouldn't be passed over to Hattie's Holly as well - considering the fact that they're.... the same person 👀🩷 (I mean, it wasn't mentioned in the show in the seasons Hattie was onscreen but like - come on now)
